I said the exact same thing about the 15 round mag. To be honest, I can't shoot my P365 for shit. It seems that I have an issue with the smaller FA's.
G43, LCP, P365, PPS I suck with them all. I have to use them as backups to my back up pistols. G19/23, VP9... I'm good to go.

Just came in here to see if anyone was talking optics, an this caught my attention. It ain't just you with that P365, I bought that shit for my wife, and I don't l

I had a G23, it was my 1st handgun. Bad choice for a 1st gun but I got it for super cheap. Just traded it not too long ago for the P10C and I love this shit! Bought my wife the P365, can't shoot that shit either. Put the sig laser on there that they made for it and sighted it in, but the shit just too small for my hands.

Just ordered the Extar EP9, I will provide updates when I get my hands on it. The shit take 1-2 weeks to ship :dunno:

You're gonna love that extar! Lightweight, reliable, accurate. Mine took close to 2 weeks to ship as well.

Great to hear. Did you throw any accessories on it? I’m looking at reflex sights right now and angled fore grip. That’s all I want to do.
Cheap angled foregrip off of Ebay or amazon.
Iron sights.
I have a cheap sight laser combo but It keeps malfunctioning. Going to spend a little more for better quality. That's all I've f
Done to it so far. Oh and a 33 round mag. This is a must lol

How do y'all feel bout the HK P930L vs Glock 19 as a 1st handgun?

Two entirely different guns. The P30 (I'm assuming that this is what you mean, as there is no 930) is hammer fired, while the G19 is striker fired. Both are solid in terms of reliability, fit, and function (although the HK is a tad more expense). I would say it comes down how each fit in your hand comfortably. Some folks don't like the ergonomics of Glocks, where others don't like HK triggers, or vice versa. I'd advise that one should go and finger bang (and shoot) both, to figure out which is the best fit for YOU. If you are asking for my opinion, and I were forced to choose one. I'd go with the G19, as the best all around firearm of the two. FWIW, I do own both. If we are comparing HK VP9 vs the G19, I'd still select the G19.

I recommend a Glock 19, extremely safe and reliable pistol. Do not be concerned that a Glock does not have a safety if you follow this simple rule. A round should only be chambered when you have the gun on your person. If the gun is in a safe place a round should never be chambered this will prevent accidental shooting. furthermore a child does not have the strength to chamber a round in the gun.

Firearm Condition Readiness: Condition 0, Condition 1, Condition 2, Condition 3, Condition 4 — What Do They All Mean?

Firearm conditions are primarily a way to declare the readiness of the weapon. For instance, if you’re on the firing line and the range safety officer calls out “cease fire, cease fire, unload, show, clear — weapons at Condition 4” — it’s helpful to actually know what that means.
In this case, Condition 4 is pretty much the universal “safe”. There is no round in the chamber (because you visually inspected) and the magazine is out of the firearm. With these two stipulations, the firearm can quickly be inspected by a range safety officer or other suitable person to be determined if it is clear and safe for handling.
Whenever you’re passing a firearm off to someone else, it’s always a great idea to put that firearm in Condition 4. That person should always then inspect the firearm to ensure it is clear. This really cuts down on any chance of a negligent discharge.
In this article, we’ll discuss the different condition ratings commonly associated with Single-Action/Double-Action and striker-fire pistols. Not all pistols will need to pass through each condition. In fact, when I was in the Marine Corps, there were commonly only 4 conditions associated with most of our weapon systems. It seems there’s an added “Condition 0” included nowadays — which just goes to show I’m getting old.

*Condition 0 — Magazine inserted, round in the chamber, safety off.
  • For SA/DA — Hammer is back.
Condition 1 — Magazine inserted, round in the chamber, safety on.
  • For SA/DA — Hammer is back.
Condition 2 — Applies to Single-Action/Double-Action primarily. This is a magazine inserted, round in the chamber, hammer forward. For revolvers, it would be rounds inserted into cylinder, cylinder locked into place, hammer forward.
Condition 3 — Magazine inserted, no round in the chamber.
  • For SA/DA — Hammer is forward.
Condition 4 — No magazine inserted, no round in the chamber.

  • For SA/DA — Hammer is forward.
  • For SA/DA revolvers — Hammer is forward, cylinder is clear of all rounds.
Condition 4 is considered safe for transport in a range environment. Some ranges have looser restrictions than others but all across the board – Condition 4 is always a good idea until you are given permission by the range safety officer (or ordinances governing the range) to proceed from Condition 4 to 1/0.
So, as you can see, Condition 0 and 1 are separated only by a manual safety. The firearm is loaded, hammer to the rear, and a round is in the chamber. This firearm should be handled with caution and treated with respect (at ALL conditions – but especially these two).
While condition readiness truly applies to little outside the range environment, it is something that we consider in our situational awareness. For instance, many concealed carriers carry in Condition 3. That’s because they don’t want to have a round in the chamber.
For those who carry 1911 variants or SA/DA pistols, Condition 2 is extremely common.
For striker-fire (Glock 19, etc.) carriers who feel confident in their carry abilities, Condition 0 is common.
It comes down to familiarity with the firearm, competency with its mechanics, and confidence that you can use it without doing harm to yourself or others unintentionally.
Condition readiness is a great way to communicate to other firearm operators where you’re at and where they need to be. More importantly, it’s a great way of communicating safety.
So, next time you hear a range safety officer say, “go to Condition 1”, you know to make ready and be prepared to have a great day at the range.

Gotta agree that if chambered, safety or no safety won't make a big difference. Best safety is a quick safe, or way up on that top top shelf, that's it. Unchambered, might have a chance with younger kids, but 6, 7, or 8 that plays war games and nerf guns, no chance.

Taurus gets a bad rap, but to be honest, they've earned it, but I ain't knocking them. Hi Point also gets a bad wrap for their handguns, but my Hi Point 10mm assault rifle has been great!
man i sold my Hi Point a few years ago. that is one ugly ass gun. its cheap and can get the job done, but dammit that shit is ugly, heavy, hard to conceal, uncomfortable...u name it.....lol.

Did a lot of research prior to getting my first piece and settling on a 9mm. The whole 45 thing is kind of overrated from movies. A 9mm hollow point has the same stopping power as a 45 and will fuck someone up the same way. Why I prefer 9mm is more in the clip and cheaper to shoot. I use full metal on the range and carry with hollow points.

And don't fall for that polymer bullet shit like I did as they are supposed to be lighter and faster. You can get hollow points that will fuck up someone's hospital stay, if they even make it there.

I carried 9mm for most of my life in the Beretta while serving. It’s like an extension of me really. Had lasers on it since I was specialized in a cert. Also did a lot of competitions with it. You can rack it on your foot if needed and it’s very reliable but I picked up the Hellcat and put about 100 rounds through it and I like it lol it’s micro 9mm but it’s nice with it. Thing is so small it’s ridiculous. Very accurate on range too.
