I don't know if there's a limit on how many you can get at a time. The last time I got some, I picked up 5 purchase permits and they last for 5 years. I'm actually about to get into a conceal carry class split into two days next week so I won't have to sit through 8 hours of non-stop lecture. 4 hours is much more feasible. I'm doing the pre-qualify part at the gun range tonight.Purchase permits? How do they work in NC?
Is there a limit on how many purchases you can make in a year or something?
Yeah my neighbor mentioned them too. I was worried about the weight cuz I wanna put it on the 2nd floor at my house. I would ask a neighbor but I wouldn't want them to know where I put my stuff either. They barely know I have a gun much less how many I have.Look at the Liberty safe line. You can find them locally @ Academy or Sam's Club. They are decent for the $.

Bro, I've learned so much from YouTube, it's crazy. These white guys aren't bullshitting when it comes to anything dealing with guns (I don't give a fuck if some of them are predjudiced, good information is good information). I've learned how to clean and lube AR-15s, Glocks, Bolt-Action Rifles, and Shot Guns. I've learned how to put ARs together and break them all the way down. I wasn't in the military, so this stuff helps me out a lot.I gotta learn more about optics. Any suggestions on resources?
In NC you can get five of the paper permits at one time. You can get all five especially if you are going to buy that many at one time but once you have your conceal license you wont need the paper ones anymore. Just know its about 3 months from the time you submit your paperwork from when they actually send it back to you. (I say send it because they are mailing them now due to covid, but if they reopen you will have to go pick it up)I don't know if there's a limit on how many you can get at a time. I looked at the VA route but ultimately went with a 1 day class for 8 hours in Greensboro. It wasnt that bad and they gave plenty of breaks. I did the shooting portion the day before so once it was done it was done. I learned a lot in that class and I found it interesting to see who was IN the class....a bunch of white women...and I mean a BUNCH.Anybody in the NC area get their conceal carry without having to take that mandatory 8hr class? I heard some ppl are taking VA conceal carry online courses to circumvent it but don't know how legitimate it is.
They reopened the sheriff's office to pick up your conceal carry again. I was just downtown about 3 weeks ago to pick up my permits and they had a separate line for conceal carry renewals as well as ppl on the same line as me for new conceal carry licenses. In NC you can get five of the paper permits at one time. I haven't fired the Hellcat yet. I'll be doing that today when I go to the range. I'm bringing it along with my VP9. How do you like that hellcat? Its my everyday carry and I havent found a flaw with mine yet after about 800 rounds plus.
Not needed on 80% lowers...well for nowNo serialization?

Just came back from the range and I definitely like the Hellcat. I'm looking forward to having it as my EDC once I get my conceal carry. My VP9 is still my favorite gun and will probably be my gun of choice for the range but the Hellcat will definitely see some more range time as well.I haven't fired the Hellcat yet. So many Bros love the Hellcat. I can't shoot sub compacts to save my life (wait...), but yeah. I done buying anything smaller than a compact.Just came back from the range and I definitely like the Hellcat. I'm looking forward to having it as my EDC once I get my conceal carry. It feels very comfortable to shoot with despite it's smaller size. Even my instructor was surprised at it and the fact that it can hold 11 & 13 rounds in a clip.So many Bros love the Hellcat. Let me know how it goes... I have the "inserts" on my VP9 as well, so I can also add optics too. I'd be interested to know what you experience.Slight upgrade to the VP9. Can't wait to use it at the range
Was close to picking up a Springfield XD-M Elite too but didn't like the way it felt holding it. Almost as if the grip was too narrow and I'd have to oversqueeze to hold it. The grip on my G3 definitely feels better but damn this gun is sexy
If you already have the base plate then the optic install is very easy. Work permitting, I'm taking it to the range this weekend.Let me know how it goes... I have the "inserts" on my VP9 as well, so I can also add optics too. I'd be interested to know what you experience.
If the grip on that felt better then I might have walked out the store with both that and the Hellcat. Probably still would've got the VP9 later on though. Either way, I was disappointed with that Springfield after falling in love with how it looked.I, too, almost purchased one of these until I held it. I'm so happy I went with the VP9 instead. Now, for weeks, I've been trying to unload my XDs .45ACP to get the Walther PPQ.

No this is my 1st RDS. My VP9 & Hellcat are optical ready so I figured lemme hook the VP9 up since it'll be my primary range gunHave you ever shot a pistol with a RDS?
I only ask because, I just started shooting RDS on pistols. I have been having quite a time unlearning some core shooting techniques to allow for RDS shooting.
Any tips you or any of the Bros, would care to share?
i'm already an xd guy lol, been awhile now.
Ended up picking it over a glock because the glock grip at the time was a bit too boxy for me.
I also like the safety on the backstrap, reminds me of a 1911
It's bad enough shooting with some compacts (the extended mag helps) but to shoot with a sub with my hand is a no. Had a friend of mines with a sub as his only firearm. Once he shot a few of mines (full size and compact) he wanted to throw away his sub.So many Bros love the Hellcat. I can't shoot sub compacts to save my life (wait...), but yeah. Me personally I have no formal training, just picking up knowledge through reading, videos, and guys around me with some form or another of formal training. Any decent range will have some form of training that you can take part in.I know this is a thread about the actual weapons themselves, but I was wondering where you all received your training... those of you who actually train(ed)!
Does anybody know of a good online ammo store?
I trained with "Firearms Training Associates" here in Southern California... The instructors are made up of ex-policemen and military personnel. They go from hand guns all the way through 1000+ yard rifleman skills. The best money I've ever spent in my life. I got the certification for Long Range Rifle Shooting.I know this is a thread about the actual weapons themselves, but I was wondering where you all received your training... those of you who actually train(ed)!
I took a small class at the range with a private instructor to check my posture and correct any obvious mistakes I make. There are classes that are held there as well for basic gun safety as well as conceal carry. I found out about more via the NAAGA group I'm in on Facebook for the NC Triangle area.I know this is a thread about the actual weapons themselves, but I was wondering where you all received your training... those of you who actually train(ed)!
