You trying to buy more?
I currently have 3 purchase permits available and am bout to take my conceal carry class next week so more guns are definitely coming. For now I'm gonna try to slow down unless I see an incredible deal. Next firearm might be a carbine or AR pistol. Kinda don't want a shotgun anymore. Might get a .380 for my girl to use in case she needs it while I'm not around but hasn't acquired her pistol purchase permit/conceal carry yet.

I hear you. For me, it's the PPQ 5" next and then an AR. I keep hearing good things about the CZ line handgun, but I don't know much about them. I'm trying to get home defense on lock because I really feel we're witnessing a shift in American society and it's downhill from here. I think things will get crazy and I want to be ready.

I feel you. I'm bout to start loading up more on ammo if anything. While at the gun range the other day as well as when I was at a different gun store today, neither of them had a lot of options for 9mm ammo. The range had some Federal 9mm they were charging $26 for. I went online that night and bought 2 boxes of 50 for $16 not including shipping or tax. Either way they still come out to less than I'd pay in the store. I did manage to pick up 2 boxes of hollows at the gun store today for $17 each. I need to buy more ammo for my AR. Based off how fast I go through FMJs at the range, I know the AR ammo won't last long once I start firing it.

Very true. I do need to focus on ammo as well. That was actually my biggest motivation to go 9mm rather than .45ACP, though my Springfield XDs is .45. If there's ever a shortage, it would still be easier to find 9mm than just about any other caliber.

I'm finding a lot of stores that are out of 9mm hollow points.

If you're in the ATL area which I think you are, I know a spot that I usually always find them when I can't find them anywhere else. Adventure outdoors in Smyrna. They get that shit in by the pallet. I use the hornady critical duty and I dont think i've ever gone there and they were out. Last time I went was about 2 weeks ago.

Good looking out! I was about to go Grabagun.com and grab a couple of boxes of Hornady rounds.

Just know that bitch is always packed so wear a mask. It's going to be full of those white folk that think corona is a hoax guaranteed. I literally ran in and out of that bitch I felt so uncomfortable how crowded it was with no masks. Shiet.

I bought my Hornady Critical Defense hollows from https://www.sportsmansoutdoorsuperstore.com/. They still have hollows in stock starting at $20. I got lucky with the Sig Sauer Elite V-Crown hollows while at my local gunstore. They had them for $17 per 20 round box with a 2 box limit so I took advantage.

What's the best AR15 for a beginner?
When you say beginner...how much of a beginner? No experience with handguns or rifles? Don't rush to get an AR...there are better options for a beginner who wants a semi-auto rifle. Any gas impingement system will need to be maintained. If you don't have that kind of patience, go with another platform. Don't get me wrong, I have a number of AR's in different calibers but I tend to spend more time cleaning them than my other rifles...even more than my 22's, LOL.

Let me know how it goes... I have the "inserts" on my VP9 as well, so I can also add optics too. I'd be interested to know what you experience.
I went to the range today and it definitely made a difference. I adjusted my stance as well to get better aim. Overall I found it easier to focus on the red dot than the iron sights. Don't get me wrong I have no problem with the sights but the red dot was just easier for me. My aim is still off to the left more than I'd like and being right handed and left eye dominant plays a role with that but today I was much more on target than I was before installing the red dot. Were you planning on getting a Trijicon RMR like what I have or going with a Holosun?

Are you mechanically inclined?
If you are even slightly, I'd say build one.
Do you have any particular parts that you'd recommend for a build or suggest one should stay away from if they want a quality build? I already have the Smith & Wesson MP15 Sport 2 but am definitely interested in building one from scratch down the road.

My 1st AR was a Ruger...once I got used to the breakdown, I was able to build one easily. The simplest thing to do is get a fully assembled upper unless you have specific needs. The lower is not hard to assemble.
