Season 2 of Halo was announced before season 1 even aired, but that has not happened with season 3. The downside of Halo for Paramount is that it’s extremely expensive with all its VFX and sets, and that reportedly limited the scope of the recent Battle of Reach we just saw. The plan is reportedly to catch up to the beginning of the original Halo games, starting with Combat Evolved. That game takes place on the Halo Ring that both the UNSC and Covenant have just now located. So, season 3 might begin the events of Combat Evolved. Or at least some alternate universe version of it.

I watched this one this morning at home.
We got Zombies from the Flood Parasites running around.
Master Chief was in Full Armor thru out and made it to the Halo along with Makee.
Looks like Kai-125 sacrificed herself, we should confirmation in season 3. Also in season 3, hopefully we get too see Soren-066 get back into his armor.
No word yet on if season 3 has been approved, with how this season ended, it’s looking like it’s gonna happen. Ratings and reviews have been good this season.
Definitely looking forward to season 3.

On episode 9 of season 1..... didn't even know season 2 was basically over when I started. Happened to see Halo during the Paramount+ ad and was like damn I meant to watch that......

I play Halo 5: Guardians almost every day. I have infinite, not a fan.
Just finished it .. rare season 2 being better than the first but it did just that. Liked it , can’t wait till season 3
Kai was floating in space body fully still intact.. seems like there’s an opening that they can say she survived but barely for the future… so to me she not dead dead

I have never played the video games or read any books on the franchise. The only thing I have seen is the Halo series on Paramount+. So I went into this film blind.
The movie deals mainly with the backstory and origin of the Halo universe. The film does a good job explaining it and keeping it short and informative. There is only one story dealing with Masterchief.
Animation is mainly anime, there is one short feature using a blurry style form of animation. The animation style does not fit in with the rest of the film.
If you are new and clueless on the Halo franchise, this film will get you somewhat caught up.

I watched this one yesterday at home on tubi.
This originally was a web series with 15 minute episodes and they later put all the episodes together and made it into a film.
I believe this is connected to a particular video game in the series. I have never played the games, so I went into it blind.
The movie mainly focuses on a bunch of cadets in training for the UNSC.
The first 50 minutes is all them getting into character introduction/development. That part is slow but it picks up immediately after that with action.
MasterChief debuts just after the one hour mark to lead the action with the cadets.
Not much for VFX/SFX, VFX/SFX are mainly shown in the first opening minutes and at the end.
The Covenant bad guys are rarely shown, they use a cloaking device majority of the time.
Two Spartans are shown at the end and they remove their helmets. Masterchief keeps his on.
There is an extended BTS after credit scene focused on bloopers.

UNSC Cadet Thomas Lasky (Tom Green) has to conquer his inner fears when he joins forces with supersoldier John-117 (Daniel Cudmore) to take down a faction of the Covenant.

They will just up and cancel the series before it’s has time to develop and get its groove.

Right now, it’s looking like the only series on Paramount+ that are secure are the Star Trek and Taylor Sheridan series.

As a Halo lifer, this series wasn't that bad. I was disappointed with them showing Master Chief's face though. Too bad, with the introduction of the flood, next season would have been interesting.
**Sidenote: The flood is the reason my wife stopped playing Halo with me.
