They artists were at different shows and half the shows didn't have an opening act.

They're different demographics at this point even if they're in the same genre. If the crowd is the judges in a verzuz, the demographic would play heavily. In a straight hip hop battle, I don't believe it's close.

The Jigga man’s show was an intimate B-sides show for the grand reopening of the theatre after renovations. Let’s do some math. $250 x 1500= $375,000. We could say after merch sales and the take at the bar he made over $500,000 in that small venue, not bad for a Webster Hall show. Smarten Up Mumble Rapping Future fan.

The capacity in Webster Hall’s grand ballroom is 1,500. The one time I went to a show there while visiting NYC from Ohio, it was American Football’s reunion tour with S. Carey opening. That’s the scale the venue normally operates at. The chance to see Shawn Carter in that intimate of a space is rare and special. However, it bears noting that just as Webster doesn’t usually host artists as massive as Jay-Z, it also doesn’t usually charge this much for tickets. According to the venue site, prices range from $250 to $399. Tickets go on sale this Friday, 4/19 at 11AM ET, with a limited number available to American Express members on Thursday, 4/18 from 10AM to 10PM. Best of luck, rich Jay-Z fans!

Commercial success there are few that could stand up to Jay from HIS era... these newer cats like Wayne, Drake... they could go hit for hit with him but that to me is almost the Jordan/LeBron debate... there's kids out there that only know Jordan for shoes and being crossed up by Iverson... it's probably kids out there that mainly know Jay as Beyonce's husband... a bit extreme I know, but still... when was Jay last solo hit song??
