Overrating sprinters just because they are Jamaican, does them a disservice. In less than 2 years it's gone from "ha ha, she finished last" to we don't know if any of these girls will ever beat her again.

All professional athletes put in 1000s of hours. Track and field athletes are not doing anything unique in terms of hard work.
Working for 10s and collecting $70k, yes that is good money for those work hours.

Prize money in track is all low, only the biggest stars can negotiate bigger appearance fees and than usually they won't do more than 1 or 2 per season since promoters can't afford it. That's why theres less than 15 in the sport making 7 figures a yr, you need the endorsements
