I'll watch but none of these episodes look like a must watch. Marvel needs to intro more characters because it's the same characters from last season (minus Hela and the new character)
Isn't that what they are doing with all these new movies that are flopping?

I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt because Season 1 was fairly entertaining and solid. But I find those (by title alone) just thoroughly uninspiring. They could end up flying off the handle and being great eps, but not many of them feel like things I am just dying to see.

Also, while I appreciate that they did tie together most of the stories in the first season with a big story at the end, I don't know if I want that to be the path going forward. Again, that might not be what they are planning, but that's sorta what it feels like.

Looks interesting.

Good chance this season might tie in with the Kang timeline storyline.

I still have 4 episodes left of Loki I have to watch before this. Should have them completed soon.

Season 2
Episode 1 - 2

New season debuted yesterday and watched the first 2 episodes tonight.

Episode 1 had Ronan defeat Thanos early on when they were scheming together in GOTG. It looks like it happened right after when Thanos talked Smack to Ronan, this led into Nebula joining the NOVA Corps.

Episode 2 had Yondu decide not to raise Peter Quill but hand him directly over to Ego back in the 80s. Episode had a good number of cameos of MCU characters from the 1980s.

Gonna let 2 more episodes debut and catch up Christmas Day.

Loved episode one. I thought it would have been the Gamora/ Tony Stark episode that was cut fron last season, but I loved the Blade Runner themes ep one

Marvel's What If...? Season 2 Sets Rotten Tomatoes Record for the MCU

On the review aggregator website, What If...? Season 2 is sitting with a score of 94% with its audience score close behind at 92%. This debut gives the new season of What If...? the highest score of any Marvel Cinematic Universe release in 2023. It's firmly above the other two MCU-set Disney+ shows to be released this year, compared to Secret Invasion at 53% and Loki Season 2 at 82%. On the big screen, the respective Rotten Tomatoes scores garnered for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, and The Marvels are 46%, 82%, and 61%.

Season 2
Episodes 3 - 6

Watched these last night.

Episode 3 looks to take place at some point after “Iron Man 2”. It has Happy Hogan against Justin Hammer. The episode plays out like Bruce Willis “Die-Hard”.

Episode 4 takes place after the first Avengers film with Tony Stark confronting the Grandmaster on Sakaar. Episode left off with a cliffhanger and there is a mid-credits scene.

Episode 5 starts of with Captain Carter in place of Steve fighting the Battle of NY and later taking on the Red Room with Black Widow. Episode left off with a cliffhanger.

Episode 6 has the Tesseract sent thru the multiverse to a 1500s America on Earth. It interacts with the main character and others. The episode comes off as a an alternate version of what Wakanda could have done instead of taking an isolation approach to matter’s outside of the kingdom. The episode also ended with a cliffhanger.

Episodes 4 to 6 to me were the interesting ones being they left off with cliffhangers possibly for a Season 3. I’m also suspecting Disney has plans for a live-action Captain Carter possibly in the near future with her own series.

Also, not sure if anyone noticed, but in the opening sequence of the episodes with the broken glass coming forward. it looks like Doctor Doom appears in a shard towards the bottom right. I really couldn’t make it out but it does look like him.

3 more episodes to go. I’ll wait to they all debut and catch up.

Season 2
Episodes 7 - 9

I watched these yesterday while home.

Episode 7 gave us an alternative story of Hela’s past with her being banished to Earth instead of Hel and stripped of her powers. She goes thru the same trial as Thor had to go thru in the first MCU Thor film. The 10 Rings made their appearance along with a decent battle between Hela and Odin. It would have been nice to seem these two go at it in live-action.

Episode 8 took place in 1602 where the Avengers had formed in a separate universe. Captain Carter is now moving thru the multiverse. It was also revealed that Captain Carter can sometimes see The Watcher. I’m still curious on why Robert Downey Jr. does not return to voice his character the way the other actors do.

Episode 9 had Strange Supreme meets up with Captain Carter.

It looks like for now they closed out the Strange Supreme storyline that started in Season one. And it looks like the series is going in the direction of connecting it to the Kang storyline going by the final scene in the series finale.

We find out in Season 3 which hopefully debuts in 2025.

And I mentioned about Doctor Doom earlier, I was wrong and it turns out the image is The Winter Soldier.

Looking forward to next season.

honestly I'm not feeling any of this season...its limited to the just the avenger and movie characters and much of it plays like some kind of half wacky after school special..:dunno::dunno::dunno:

Its animated yet the action has the same scope as the live action films

I think Alan Moore is a loon but he was correct on the one thing...comic books are its own medium but its being treated like the little brother to movies.
