It's too bad that Abraham has to fight his mandatory, Raul Marquez. I realize that he did earn it with his last fight, but i've never really been a fan, and i'd much rather see Abraham square off against Pavlik. Much better and more intriguing fight, IMO. Anyone else hear that while Abraham was in Florida for his fight with Miranda that his IBF strap got stolen from his ride?

Oh, and Merce, i've got to agree with your opinion that it's tough to imagine anyone just blowing away Cotto at welterweight. His power speaks for itself and the only real suspect thing about him was that we went down quite a bit early on in his career. But that's got more to do with his struggling to cut weight to make 140 rather than him taking a punch. It hasn't proved to be a problem so far at 147. Good call.

Aww man, that should be a good one. Yeah, I can't stand when people discredit other fighters just because they are a fan of a particular fighter. I mean every Floyd fan thinks that May is invincible, but the fact is that ANY dude that Floyd ever beat, Cotto would've beaten them as well, and if Floyd thought he was a joke he would've fought'em and beat'em. You can't wait for everyone to fight each other and then go pick and choose who u want to fight and clean up the mess. The undefeated record means shit unless u plot urself against the best. No matter tho, the TRUE welter champ will be decided on July 26th. Peace yo, btw I'll be posting up some more links and fights in a minute, I'm just busy collecting them all, plus I'm gonna re-up a few links that are dead too, one.

:lol::lol::lol::lol:

I see that Diaz is bigger than Pac, so Manny's power may not be much of a factor in this fight as it was in his last few fights...We'll see what happens in this fight...

As far as the Mayweather/Cotto thing goes, I don't think that Floyd would walk through him, but he won't have as much trouble as some think he would...

Many of you fans know that the ONLY fighter that I think would beat Floyd is Shane Mosley. A natural 147er with speed and power that would be on his toes as much as Floyd and may force him to trade more often...

Cotto is a forward moving guy, but not like a Hatton...Ricky is relentless at getting to his opponent and gets to the body faster than Cotto does, and Floyd would easily adjust to that. His best bet is to start off like he did against Mosley with a short jab...Then he'd have a shot to do more damage...

Man if u think Floyd would whup Cotto's ass, it doesn't say much about your knowledge of boxing dude. He might win, but I can't see ANYBODY at 147 straight whoopin Cotto. Your comment gets the gas face.
If this man had told you that Mayweather would beat down Diego Corrales you would have said the same thing. "Man if u think Floyd would whup Corrales' ass, it doesn't say much about your knowledge of boxing dude. He might win, but I can't see ANYBODY at 130 straight whoopin Corrales. Your comment gets the gas face". Corrales at 130 was just as impressive and beast like as Cotto has been at 140 and 147. I think Mayweather would easily beat Cotto.

Kinda drooled when Brian Kenny mentioned this one last night on FNF. If Cass leaves his headbutts & elbows out of this one, this could be the most technically pleasing fight of the year.

Wrong, because I told everyone and their mother that slow footed, non-jabbing, one punch at-a-time(at that time) Diego Corrales would get his ass handed to him by Floyd. Please don't compare Corrales to Cotto, some of u guys think Floyd is a lot better than he really is. If Floyd knew he could walk through Cotto and make about 10-15 million in the process it would've happened already. Floyd is not a dude who fights all out, he always does just enough to win. And anyone comparing wack ass Ricky Hatton to Cotto is smoking krills. Now that Floyd is retired Cotto is the best all around in the game today, whether brothers wanna hold a Puerto Rican in that high regard is the real issue.... Cotto will give that nicca the fight of his life and possibly beat him, especially if Floyd keeps waiting and getting older. MArk my words, that if Cotto utterly destroys Margarito, Floyd will NEVER fight M.C. If Cotto loses, he'll wanna fight him immediately. Same shit he did with Zab, he never wanted to fight Zab until Zab got his shit pushed in by Baldomir. To me, Floyd is a coward, ya'll could call it whatever u want, I call it cowardice. The Mosley's, Leonard's, Hearns's, would never have retired just to not have to fight real fighters.:smh::smh:

Diaz got straight stomped on. They should have stopped that fight in the 5th, how the hell did it go 9?

Pacman is a monster, I want to see Pacman vs PBF.

Who here just watched the massacre on HBO?

I knew that shit was gonna happen. Did u guys hear about De La Hoya vs Trinidad on Dec. 6th? They're trying to make the fight happen but Tito said he wants a 50-50 split and that the fight has to be at 165 or else no deal.

Look man, if alot of cats actually knew what they were watching, they would see that Diaz had almost as little skill as Hatton, no defense and not that much offense, no jab or head movement and wack footwork and Pac still had a hard time ko'ing this nicca, what's gonna happen when he fights Casamayor or Nate Cambell, I think Pac is going to get his food eaten at this weight class. No way can I judge him at this weight by this fight, Diaz didn't even belong in the same ring with this cat, Manny didn't look all that to me.

Which isn't going to be easy, Joan has some of the best skills in the lower weight classes today. But Nate ia veteran who has really stepped up his game, and he's still physically young having started boxing late in life, no all out wars, very little wear and tear on his body. I agree though, I would really love to see Campbell/Pacquiao. I think Pac is going to have his hands full.

What'd you think of the Luevano-Santiago fight? I'm ok with a draw but 117-111 for Luevano was ridiculous. Look forward to a rematch.

Even tho Witherspoon lost to Arreola by tko, he still impressed me more with his skills and heart than Arreola, he had the wrong plan and too much pride. Arreola can bang tho, that dude's got some power on'em, it'd probably be a good fight.

It would be,but I'd bet a Casamayor/Pacquiao fight would happen before Manny fights Nate...

In fact, if Pac fights two or three times at 135 without fighting Nate, then he won't and move up to super lightweight...

Pacquiao/Hatton in 4th quarter 2009 is a possibility....

I don't know about that Pac/Hatton fight, I just don't see too many good things for Manny at these weights, that kid Diaz had no defense or real skill, and it still took Manny the whole night of punching his face in just to get the ko. What's goona happen when he fights a master boxer or an elusive dude like Guzman or Casamayor...Hatton is gonna be much stronger than him, but lucky for Manny, Ricky's chin is made out of lightbulb glass.

Don King By the Numbers:
Over $1 billion—Total boxing revenue
$350 million—Estimated net worth
$110 million—Largest grossing fight (Tyson vs. Holyfield, 1997)
$70 million—Largest annual salary, 1996
113—Total boxers currently represented

Early rumor out of the Philipines is that they have Arum quoted as saying that pac's next fight will be on Nov. 8 against WBA 130 champ Edwin Valero. Valero supposedly is having a hard time making 130 and would move up to challenge for Pacquiao's WBC strap. The fight if it indeed happened would either land in Texas or Vegas. Just rumors at this point, but thought it worth mentioning.

Here's something I forgot to post before the Pac-Diaz fight, obviously now it only applies to Manny. Open letter from Nate Campbell:

To David and Manny,

Good luck to both of you this Saturday. I know alot of folks are predicting Manny to win this with ease, but I also know it ain't gonna happen that easily. But that's neither here nor there. I'm writing this letter because I want the winner of your fight to really consider the history that could be made by fighting the winner of my September 13th fight with Joan Guzman, which of course I am confident will be me :) Anyways, the winner of your fight in meeting the winner of my fight has the chance to do something that has only been done once in the history of boxing. A complete unification of the IBF,WBO, WBC, and WBA world titles. The only other person in history to accomplish that feat was Bernard Hopkins. Roy never did it. Oscar never did it. Floyd never did it. Nobody except Bernard ever did it. And that's not to say we would be better than those guys, or anything like that, but we do have the opportunity to do something that they never did. So lets truly make the effort, for the sake of history, to make a fight between us a reality, before mandatories, or other economic realities prevent the titles from staying together. We all know there is plenty of money to go around, and let's face it, all of us are financially ok already anyways, so for once, let's NOT make it about the money, and lets do whats right for boxing. We have a chance to make a complete unification happen. Lets not let money, or our promoters, or anything else get in the way of that. As much as I love Don and Terry, I have no problem telling both of them that after the Guzman fight, they don't need to bother sending me any bout agreements that don't have either David or Manny's name on it (whoever wins). And both of you could tell Bob the same thing. Don't forget that these guys are supposed to work for US, not the other way around. And specifically to David, I know a fight with Manny would mean alot more $$ than a fight with you would, but if you win on Saturday, everything I have said here still stands. This chance to make history and unify all four world titles is bigger than you and me. Alot bigger. And even though it might not be for a ton of money, we still would need to fight, and not let this opportunity get away. It's about history. It's about being the second man in the history of boxing to do this. And so to whichever of you guys wins on Saturday, don't forget what this sport has given you, and understand that sometimes something needs to be given back. Relax a while, enjoy your victory, spend time with your family, and then tell Bob that the only fight you are interested in is the Campbell-Guzman winner. We can always make money, but it's not too often that we get the chance to make history.

Man that's some realness right there, THATS A TRUE CHAMP dude cares more about history than making money and taking easy fights, a brother had to come and show these cats how to do it right. A cat like Pacquiao would definitely respond to an action like that, Manny seems to be a stand up dude as well, let's hope money doesn't get in the way, I really hope Nate comes out at the top of the pile, he's earned it. Maybe Cotto should try writing May a letter like that, lol! That nigga May would have to get a translator first and shit...
