I watched this last night on the road in my truck on Paramount+.
It is the official prequel to the classic 1968 “Rosemary’s Baby”. I had last watched that film during the pandemic shutdown, not sure if I did a review on it.
Not much to say on the film, it generally follows the same plot as Rosemary’s Baby (RB) the main difference is the main character in this film is single, Rosemary was married.
Majority of the characters in RB debut in this film (They are recast obviously cuz the original actors are dead). Rosemary/Guy have a small cameo which is interesting. Some insight is given on the origin of the Satanic Cult, but still leaves some unanswered questions which will most likely be answered in future projects.
Not much for suspense, the ending is very predictable before the film starts if you have seen RB, the main character Terry Gionoffrio is mentioned in RB, this film tells her story.
The film sets it up for another prequel for a woman who occupied the apartment prior to Terry, not much is told about her, but should be revealed in future projects. Also, there are questions about the person who originated the Satanic Cult, it seems there is more going on than them wanting to find a woman to have Lucifer’s baby.
For the Thirsty, Julia Garner looks 100% better as a long haired brunette in this film. That bleached, yellow kinky shit she sports in real life, she needs to drop it ASAP.
Looking forward to what they plan with the franchise.

When she receives an offer at another chance at fame, it seems that all her dreams are coming true. However, disturbing circumstances soon have her second-guessing the sacrifices she's willing to make for her career as she realizes that something evil is living not only in Apartment 7A, but in the Bramford itself.

She did a great job with that role and was deserving of the awards she won.
Played back this scene from the final season a few times when it aired. Her intensity is great.
