More specifically, the Pulp Fiction filmmaker recently said he has no interest in watching fellow colleague Denis Villeneuve‘s Dune adaptations, as he views them as symptomatic of Hollywood’s overreliance on remixing old IP (usually in a bid to mitigate risk and maximize profit).

Fucking hypocrite, has Tarantino ever done anything original? Everything he has done has been a copy from a older movie.

Venom 3

I liked it better than the first two, but that's not saying much since I didn't like the other two, but this is a streaming movie.

Three movies in and the sound editing is still a problem? It was a hour and a half movie that still seemed long.

The movie tried to be funny, but it wasn't. Then again, I couldn't hear 20% of what Venom was saying.

The Mrs Chen and the hippy family scenes were fucking stupid :smh: Dude risked the world for a dance :hmm:

What saved it for me was I was sort of entertained by the last fight scene, but that didn't make any fucking sense, but it was entertaining and the CGI didn't suck...so hey. X-Men symbiotes and prison guards that are powerful as fuck, but controlled by the prisoner?

If you're one of the few who liked the other two, you'll probably like this, because it's more of the same bullshit.

Yo! I was watching YouTube in Panama last week, and that Deadpool/Wolverine movie was on there. So were the latest Bad Boys & Bicycle Riders movies. Watched them all. They were boots, but they were high quality. I liked all of them. I'm amazed that that shit was even on YouTube!

Damn man - sorry to hear that, JB.

How is Comic Con? I've always wanted to attend one of those conventions, and / or one of the adult ones like AVN Expo or Exxxotica.
Heli i have been going to the Cons for about 12 years. Some are definitely better than others. The first few years they would give out a lot of freebies and swag ,past 4 years not so much. I used to say some of the cons were like paying to get into a store. But i will say its great if you are looking for something unique ,replicas like James Bond's gun or Han Solo's blaster that i cant buy online because i live in NYC.
This year i met the cast of Good Times which was fun i did laugh at Mcdonald's showing up all four days giving out free chicken Big Mac's and fries. I know some of the food trucks must have lost money this year because people usually end up paying for over priced food like a hot dog, fries and a drink for 30 bucks !!

Juror #2

PRAISE: Who really wants to go to jury duty? Sure if a person works a regular nine to five job they may get a break from that but your still stuck in some stuffy court room or small room for most of the day.
Right from the start Director Clint Eastwood and writer Jonathan Abrams pulled me in to this story about A juror for a high-profile murder trial finds himself struggling with a serious moral dilemma that could influence the verdict and potentially convict, or free, the accused killer because it's familiar and relatable. You have people making up flimsy and not so flimsy reasons to get picked as a juror and i did find myself amused by those scenes having been to jury duty at least four times. Then as the movie progressed and the characters became more developed, the jurors in particular try not to make the trial they are assigned go down a path of prejudices or make it personal. How do i separate my own feelings from an innocent person being murdered ? or something less sinister and more of a civil matter like a rent dispute? This is all played with in a great way. I enjoyed the performances from the entire cast who made their roles believable including: Nicholas Hoult · Justin Kemp ; Toni Collette · Faith Killebrew ; J.K. Simmons · Harold ; Kiefer Sutherland · Larry Lasker ; Zoey Deutch and Allison Crewson. There's some really good raw emotion on display throughout the film. I liked how the movie structured a couple of scenes in which I was thrown off for a bit about a particular character. Eastwood still has the mastery of unfolding a story that makes you pay attention.

PROBLEMS: Whether a person is sitting in a meeting or court room in which they are supposed to be paying attention there are times when there's a pause in what's being said especially if you are in the aforementioned for a long period of time,a mind can drift and start studying who's in the room. A few times when that comes into play in the movie it's ignored or plays out in a very weak way.

Scale of 1 to 10 a 7½

Thanks for the intel.

Sounds like McD’s was in serious damage repair mode after the E-coli onions scandal of late!!

All Hallows' Eve
2013

4/10

I recently found out they debuted a “Terrifier 3” in theaters. I was scratching my head looking for “Terrifier 2” cuz I had seen “Terrifier” some years ago.

While searching, I discovered that “Terrifier” is the 2nd film and this film I’m reviewing is actually the first film. I also learned that there was a 11 minute short that debuted back in 2011 featuring “Art The Clown”. That short film is the first story in this film with the chick in the train station. So technically this is the first film in the franchise.

The film is basically an anthology film with 3 parts with a main plot that connects them thru out the film.

The stories are short and get right to the point/action. Blood/Gore is not all that impressive and has a 70s “Grindhouse” vibe to them. VFX/SFX for Blood/Gore looks on the level of a college film student project.

Overall, it’s an interesting film that proceeds at a good pace from start to finish.

Synopsis

On Halloween, after a night out trick-or-treating, children Tia and Timmy are surprised to find an unmarked VHS tape in their candy bag. Together with their babysitter Sarah, they watch the tape, which contains three stories featuring a homicidal clown named Art.

Too much curves and cleavage = millions of complaints. Everyone would be “outraged”

Naw, he is probably a Trumper riding on the cancel culture train. Have you seen any of the new animation on Max, Netflix, or Amazon? They have straight up fucking, showing dicks and everything. People would only complain if they were marketing it to kids.

According to campaign donation records, Zemeckis has frequently contributed to political candidates affiliated with the Democratic Party, as well as PACs that support the interests of aircraft owners and pilots, family planning interests, and a group that advocates for Hollywood women.[52][unreliable source?]

People complain about old IP being used, but then they always bring up old IP to be redone and sequeled

That movie was 30 years ago

That's why I hate when stuff like Beetle Juice is made and wins.

Some stuff needs to be redone or you lose the rights, but some stuff needs to be left in the past.

Fall Guy I didn't even know what that was, and nobody else did either. The people that would appeal to are over 60 and are the people going to the movies the least.
