Next week's episode needs to make up for this week. This one was not as bad as "What Kate Does" ep, but it's right next to it in terms of quality.

Yea at first I was like "this dude still conning people?!" It seems like most of the people are mirror images of themselves in the flash-sideways...should've come to the conclusion earlier when I remembered the season opener when Sawyer told Hurley he shouldn't tell everyone about his lottery winnings, that they might use him and he didn't take advantage...I was wondering if Claire was gonna live up to what she told Jin... after that slap you would've thought Claire came back from the other Island with no pimp money! Can't wait for the Richard episode

Perhaps. But Kate seems to still be a criminal on the run. Time will tell i guess.
As for tonights episode, though it didnt reveil much i did enjoy it a bit. I Like the developing relationship between Flocke and Sawyer and interested on seeing how that entire situation plays out.
I think next weeks episode will let down most of us who already filled in the blanks of Richards existence. It will probably be a entertaining show but i dont expect to learn a got dam thing that i dont already (think i) know right now. Richard came on the Black Rock, was somehow rescued or given a second chance by Jacob and in exchange agreed to be his gatekeeper/medium...
The flash sideways still seem completely pointless to me and just shows they had a weak storyline for the conclusion of the show. I think it would have been much better for them just have an 8 episode season with just what happens on the island but I guess they had to drag this season out for financial reasons.
The story is just moving too slow and even if the ending will be fulfilling the overall season is so far a disappointment to me.

Anyone else notice that nasty animal skull that Claire was carrying kinda resembles the statue?
and the symbol in it's hand is the same one from the case Jacob gave Hurley to show at the temple? Who were all shocked to see it by the way.

Dont think so. Richard done answered as much as he is going to. The only question left is why would Jacob make him Eternal?

No he could possibly give us insight on the people he arrived there with, why they were there, and what happened to them. And maybe more insight on the MIB and Jacob.
he can also explain how the ship ended up in the middle of the island. he did some recruiting of his own. remember a while back he went to see Locke as a child. he can explain why that was. he can also explain why Locke choosing the knife was the wrong decision. theres a lot of stuff he can explain.
not that any of it is important:
was he really a prisoner on the ship?
how did dharma get to the island, as well as the army?
explain what happens in the temple, or what is supposed to happen, since he took Ben there as a child.
he can also tell us what happened to the statue.
he might even be able to tell us who adam and eve are.
but will he, doubt it. he'll probably just give out a bunch of "its a long story" "you wont understand" "i dont remeber" "what was the question again'.
we wont get many answers about jacob and MIB/smoke monster until the last few episodes of the season.
Last nights epi was pretty good. I didnt catch that Charlie's brother was in the epi until I watched it the second time.
