Once again,Agents of Shield proofed why it's the best comic book show....
they BETTER NOT KILL Coulson
they woud have to wait a year to bring it backWhat if,in the final scene, certain characters start turning into dust...
His character is becoming very annoyingIt really sucks that Mack has always been a big holier than thou bitch.
Not necessarily. I wouldn't mind seeing a few episodes where they have to cope with the repercussions of Thanos' victory. Hill & Fury being gone should have severe consequences for everyone else in S.H.I.E.L.D so why not see what transpires from their point of viewthey woud have to wait a year to bring it back
What if,in the final scene, certain characters start turning into dust...
Did this fool just absorb the absorbing man?!?!?
HOLY FUCKK!!!!!!!!!!
‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ Renewed for Shortened Season 6 [Update]
BY ADAM CHITWOOD MAY 14, 2018
Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will live to see another day. ABC announced today that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 6 is happening, much to the delight of fans who have stuck with the series through its rocky ride. There is a hitch, however, as TV Line reports that Season 6 will be shorter than previous seasons, consisting of just 13 episodes. It hasn’t yet been determined if Season 6 will be the show’s last, but no doubt the showrunners would like to know beforehand if they’re crafting an endgame or if there’s hope for the show to continue on past Season 6 with shorter seasons.
[Update]: Those new episodes will debut in the summer of 2019. According to Channing Dungey, President of ABC Entertainment, there are no plans to wrap the series up yet (acknowledging how strong Season 5 was creatively), and that by moving it to summer it could let the series live longer than it would if it were in-season. Dungey noted that the series does very well in delayed viewing numbers, and they recognize what a passionate fanbase the show has (also the move has nothing to do with story plans in the larger MCU).
S.H.I.E.L.D. debuted in 2013 as the brainchild of Jed Whedon, Maurissa Tancharoen, and Joss Whedon, who helped created the series in the wake of the success of The Avengers and directed the pilot. The show was intended to be an offshoot of the big screen MCU, tying into events of the films, but that close connectivity proved to be nearly impossible to do on a larger scale since films take two years to make and television is written, shot, produced, and aired in a matter of weeks.

Ratings fell throughout the show’s first season and the slippage continued throughout seasons 2 and 3, but things started leveling off in Season 4 and the show has now maintained a fairly devoted fanbase—even if this most recent season saw the ratings fall to series-low levels. Those who are still watching have praised the series’ creative upswing over the past couple of seasons, and the series has indeed started venturing beyond the confines of Earth to find new stories worth telling.
Even non-fans are now curious to see how the Season 5 finale (airing this Friday) will address the big twist in Avengers: Infinity War, which could set up a very different board for Season 6. If next season is indeed the final go-around, the show wouldn’t even be able to address the conclusion of the Infinity War storyline until Avengers 4 hits theaters next May.
Indeed, since Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige reshuffled his executive structure to report directly to Disney’s Alan Horn a few years ago, the Ike Perlmutter-overseen Marvel TV—which is run by Jeph Loeb—has had little to no communication with the film side of things, and thus stories between the Marvel movies and the Marvel TV shows are more disconnected than ever.
That’s not necessarily a bad thing, and again I’m curious to see if Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will address Infinity War directly, or if the show will continue on forging its own path. Regardless, fans can breathe a sigh of relief that the series will indeed return, if in a more abbreviated form.
What do you think, folks? Should Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. wrap up after Season 6 or would you like to see the series continue on? Sound off in the comments below.

ABC Schedule: ‘Fresh Off the Boat,’ ‘Speechless’ Move to Fridays this Fall; ‘S.H.I.E.L.D.’ Returns Summer 2019
As far as ABC is concerned, it’s sitting on top of the world ratings-wise. It’s ending its 2017-2018 season with the top series on television (Roseanne), the number one new drama (The Good Doctor) and the top reality show launch (American Idol). So, there aren’t a ton of change-ups to its schedule, but it has found room for a few new series as well as moves for beloved comedies Fresh Off the Boat and Speechless (which are moving to Fridays …). Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., which was just picked up for a shortened Season 6, won’t return until summer 2019. (According to Channing Dungey, President of ABC Entertainment, there are no plans to wrap the series up yet, and that by moving it to summer it could let the series live longer than it would if it were in-season. Dungey noted that the series does very well in delayed viewing numbers, and they recognize what a passionate fanbase the show has — also the move has nothing to do with story plans in the larger MCU).
Dungey also said in a press release today that, “We enter the new season bolstered by success and the stability that it affords us. The new shows we unveil today strengthen an already-vibrant schedule of some of the best television has to offer. These shows, with their compelling characters and aspirational storytelling, will keep our momentum going.”

ABC has also picked up eight new primetime series, including one-hour dramas A Million Little Things (The highest-tested pilot of the group), The Fix, Grand Hotel,The Rookie (starring Nathan Fillion) and Whiskey Cavalier, as well as the half-hour comedies The Kids Are Alright, Schooled and Single Parents (the trailers for which will drop later today). It’s also picked up The Alec Baldwin Show, a one-hour show that “will showcase Baldwin’s in-depth conversations with compelling personalities.”

Yeah smart move by ABC finally...
Summer = straight run no Winter/Holiday Break
13 episodes = no filler shows..
Marvel makes too much money for ABC to cancel their flag ship TV show...
13 episodes over the summer to be continued on the new streaming service.SOmething also tells me that they are setting this up for the new streaming network. That’s why they didn’t confirm the next season as the last.
