Family I'm so glad you told me this because I went on Google and did a search of Michigan school shooter yesterday and they showed nothing but black boys around that age.... But then also I shouldn't have been so naive to realize that at the same time if they hadn't posted his picture and they talking about an attorney you know that got to be a white guy / white boy thanks for the info
The school I used to work at, a student wrote about his death day. He was talking about some abuse he went through and amongst other things. It was concerning stuff, so I took it to the school admin. They told me they couldn’t do anything because he hasn’t done anything.
So, I was like “so we just wait for him to shoot the place up?”
He ended up having a full schizophrenic episode right in front for me a few months later. Luckily, it never escalated past him talking crazy and stripping off all his clothes.
I've had similar experience countless times.

When the social worker arrived at the school a day or so later, I informed her the student in question was the one she stepped over ( he was crawling around on the floor outside the classroom) to get to talk to me.
After talking with him privately, she informed me that there was nothing she could do about a kid who had done nothing out of the ordinary.
If someone were to tell me this, I would not believe it. You just had to be there.

The last time I worked in a school, a kid called me a n-gger. When I told people outside the school about this, everyone, black and white, asked what color the kid was.
When you work among adolescent kids, you find that kids are kids are kids. They have to be taught that they are different, depending on how they look, behave, or practice religion.
So, in response, it does not matter.
I will say this: I never worked, in any capacity, in a predominantly white school, anywhere in the USA, at least.
This was in the States.
I feel you because me just looking at this overall situation like what I've seen the last 15 years I'm thinking if it was a white kid that would have been an immediate intervention immediate therapy immediate counseling if it were a black kid they would have had to been some stipulations some type of forms... Etc etc etc
The BIGGEST difference with respect to color I have found is this:
When I worked in schools regularly, as a sub and otherwise, special ed classes were limited to no more than 15 students.
In EVERY CASE, without exception, the overwhelming majority of the students put in special ed classes were black boys.
If a class had 15 kids, you could count on at least 9 of them being boys, and generally black.
Take that as an indication of what you will...

But I heard a lot of those black boys that were put in special ed classes as in some cases as quiet as is was kept.. had very high IQs I was once told that a lot of times that was very threatening to a certain group of people

You might be surprised, and dismayed, to know that it is common for women with multiple children to tell their kids to misbehave and appear "slow", in order to get them placed in special ed. Social services, if memory serves, issues a check to the parent of a kid on special ed.

With respect to i.q., it depends on what kind of special education designation they have.
Some are emotionally impaired. Some are "educable", but not intellectually astute.
Then there is the "learning disabled" category. Typically ,this represents a deficit in comprehension in reading and writing or math, sometimes both.
I taught a special ed kid fundamental statistics on my first assignment as a sub. He had difficulty with language oriented tasks, but was way above his years in math.
This is more a function of how we categorize people and their abilities than anything else, in my opinion.
If one is poor in math, one is considered stupid, although the same person might write a symphony at the drop of a hat.
That being said, I often (nearly every week for more than 8 years) got into trouble for defending my students.
I recall the school secretary sending a kid to my room, asking for a few older girls (they were about 10 yrs) to help the school photographer set up for the day.
She said that I was NOT to send boys, because they did not "know how to take care of business."
I sent a message back: if you can't use my boys, you can't use any of them.
I got called an asshole for that one.
The TRUTH is, unfortunately, that there is typically a number of fat, angry black women who hate black men, and treat
black boys accordingly. They are constantly yelling at them for the most minor offenses, and telling them they are worthless,
and will remain so.
You don't have to fear the white man for doing this. Black women are, by and large, doing it for them.
This is something I don't think Kwanzaa Kunjufu emphasizes in any of his books.
