Viacom/Paramount/CBS content and back catalog, exclusive shows, 1st run movies and your local CBS station. They are eliminating the need for cable, not supplementing it.

edit: Paramount+ will drop the local TV portion in June unless you are subscribed by June. But that makes it a dollar cheaper.
from my understanding the 10 plan will keep local CBS, including live sports.

Damn. Seedbox cost $5 a month and get to keep the content. They turning this streaming shit into TV for suckers. :smh: Ain't nothing like controlling your own content ---especially if you got kids.
I never heard of Seedbox. I googled it real quick. Who wants to download shit, deal with storage issues, and wait for brand new content to get uploaded? That's what seedbox seems like. But, again, I dont know shit about it.

Shit is more advanced. Got apps that get your favorite shows for you as the shows air. These days, everything is uploaded damn near instantly. If you're the type that just likes streaming, can pay a few more bucks to stream shit from the seedbox like it's your own netflix. Shit is basically what cord cutting was to cable.

I just prefer to download shit that I like for my own personal library. Got so sick of streaming sites taking shit off. Also depends on your Internet provider too. I got ATT gig, so speed and downloading terabytes isn't a problem for me.

The Game is (back) on. Paramount+ is reviving the Mara Brock Akil series with original cast members Wendy Raquel Robinson and Hosea Chanchez reprising their roles as sports agent Tasha Mack and football player Malik Wright. Other “legacy” cast members will be making special appearances, according to a release. The half-hour series is once again executive produced by creator Mara Brock Akil and Kelsey Grammer, as well as showrunner and writer Devon Greggory (American Soul), Salim Akil (Black Lightning), and Tom Russo (Black-ish). The ten-episode first season will follow the original cast from San Diego to Las Vegas, with new players to “offer a modern-day examination of Black culture through the prism of pro football.” “Fifteen years ago I created The Game and am so proud of the success we had, and that I was able to create characters and stories that resonated with so many people,” Mara Brock Akil said in a statement. “I couldn’t be happier about leaving my beloved characters like Tasha Mack and Malik Wright in the hands of Devon, Wendy and Hosea, who I know will build off of the rich foundation the show has.”

In the 15 years since the debut of The Game, which first aired on the CW and then on BET, Robinson has appeared on Dear White People, Grey’s Anatomy, The Parkers, and Insecure. Chanchez appears in Black Lightning and appeared in the 2015 BET film Let the Church Say Amen, directed by Regina King. All nine seasons of The Game are currently available on Paramount+ for you to relive the glory days.

Clarice and SEAL Team are moving to Paramount+

May 15, 2021 at 12:48 PM EDT

SEAL Team and Clarice are moving to a new home.

The two CBS dramas -- which were on the bubble leading into next week's upfront presentations to advertisers -- will move to Paramount+. SEAL Team, which stars David Boreanaz, will have an initial run of episodes this fall before moving to CBS' sister streaming network.

Clarice, which is wrapping up its first season, will move to Paramount+ in the fall. The show, which is executive produced by Star Trek guru Alex Kurtzman, averaged 6.1 million this season. SEAL Team brought in 6.1 million viewers this year.

CBS has a deep bench of solid performers so there was only so much room on the network. Among the dramas the most-watched network has already renewed are Blue Bloods, Bull, FBI, FBI: Most Wanted, Magnum P.I., and both NCIS shows.

The network also picked up two new series for fall called Smallwood and Good Sam. Smallwood is a comedy starring Pete Holmes, Chi McBride, and Katie Lowe and is described like this: "After being laid off from the assembly line at the GM factory, a seemingly ordinary man makes the extraordinary decision to provide for his family by following his dream of becoming a professional bowler. Based on professional bowler Tom Smallwood's life."

Good Sam stars Sophia Bush and Jason Isaacs and is about a "talented yet stifled surgeon embraces her leadership role after her renowned and pompous boss falls into a coma. When he awakens and wants to resume surgery, however, it falls to her to supervise this overbearing blowhard who never acknowledged her talents - and also happens to be her father."
CBS will present its fall lineup to advertisers virtually on Wednesday.

https://www.theguardian.com/film/2021/feb/25/paramount-plus-streaming-service-new-and-old-fims

Paramount has become the latest studio to unveil plans for a streaming service it hopes will help maximise profits on films whose release has been affected by the pandemic.

Paramount Plus, which launches on 4 March, will feature archive content as well as carrying new movies 30 days after theatrical release – or 45 for tentpole titles. These include oft-postponed releases such as Top Gun: Maverick (due in cinemas on 2 July), A Quiet Place II (17 September) and Mission: Impossible 7 (19 November).

“Audiences are changing in their habits and we want to make sure that these films are available when they’re fresh after a full theatrical run,” Paramount Pictures CEO Jim Gianopulos told Variety on Wednesday.

“Audiences are changing in their habits and we want to make sure that these films are available when they’re fresh after a full theatrical run,” Paramount Pictures CEO Jim Gianopulos told Variety on Wednesday.

Mission: Impossible 7 wrapped filming last week after a long-running shoot involving multiple restarts in a wide variety of locations. Post-production is now under way in London ahead of the proposed release over the Thanksgiving weekend holiday in the US.

The move is another blow for cinema owners seeking to shore up trade post-lockdown.

Disney and Warner Bros have already launched popular streaming services either in tandem with a cinematic release or – particularly in the US, where most venues have been closed for almost a year – as standalone platforms.

Universal recently struck a deal with key US chains that would allow them to stream new titles after only 17 days in cinemas.

Paramount also announced TV series based on hit movies such as The Italian Job, Love Story, Flashdance and Fatal Attraction.

Fuck this. I stay hoisting my pirate ☠flag

This is like opening up a DVD rental company in 2004, just because this may have seemed like a good idea a few years back, but now it seems like that ship has sailed away a long time ago!

At this point ... it's just hard to keep up with all the various platforms and services.

Every week / month the landscape changes.

Thank God for streaming sites.

Just like having your own server that can automatically download content for you. Can work with Plex. Streamers just lucky most people too lazy and clueless to set one up. Ultraseedbox lets you use public trackers, some require private trackers.
