Watched these two this afternoon here at home.
Great start with the Episode 4 throwback with Baylan running thru like Darth Vader on the Republic ship.
The series starts out as predicted as a “Season 5” of “Star Wars: Rebels”. Lots of dialogue and visual references given from the series, but not too much to have you scratching your head trying to figure out what they talking about or what you are seeing.
Ahsoka, Hera and Sabine look like they just walked right out of the cartoon. Great casting for these 3.
We got a live action member of The Nightsisters from “Clone Wars” and Rebels. That gives us confirmation some of them survived after Rebels.
Ahsoka and Sabine look to have had a falling out post Rebels with Sabine doing Jedi training under Ahsoka.
It looks like this series might give us some information on the origin of The First Order that debuted in Episode 7. Possibly on Palpatine’s Final Order in Episode 9.
Sabine cut her hair and put on the Mandalorian armor. The actress looks just like the cartoon character, except with colored hair.
A new version of the holographic communications was displayed using color.
Dave Filoni directed Episode 1 and Seth Green directed Episode 2.
Series is starting out pretty decent in my opinion. Definitely looking forward to what comes up.
There will be 8 episodes for the series, gonna let a few stack up before catching up.

I think the real problem is that thyre waisting time with a live a tion show when this could've easily been a new season of rebels or made an animated movie. All this show is doing is picking up where rebels off. Disney is soley to blame they told filoni to do rebels and had clone wars canceled and made all the cartoons canon. While I'm on clone wars I have to say that show is overrated and bad batch is boring I dropped out of season 2 five episodes in. It would've been better if the original eu multimedia clone wars stuff was canon instead. To filonis credit a lot of clone wars is inspired by the dark horse comics and he wanted durge the bounty hunter on the show but Lucas said know and wanted his creation cad bane instead.

I just don't care for rebels and I don't think it's good enough for live action. Live action works when it focoses; on new or recent characters and shows things never seen before that's why the mandalorian and andor was so successful I'm looking forward to the acolyte because it's doing something's my new in giving us a show from the sith perspective and it's set in a completely new era 200 years before the prequels so there will be nothing but new characters and stories to explore even better it's further removed from the Skywalker saga. I just watched the first 10 minutes of asohka so we're dealing with a dark jedi mercenary? How many surviving Jedi are there . That's what I don't like about Disney. They make the empire look so weak with all these surviving jedi . It does a disservice to the original trilogy and deminishes Luke's roll in the grand scheme of things. Darth Vader shouldn't have even been in rebels.

I just got done with both episodes and I'm giving them a letter grade of " w" as in "what the hell was that?!?" That just wasn't it. Terrible all the way through. After this i dont want to here any complaints about tbobf, Mando season2 or obi wan. They may have their flaws like most star wars ip but also like most Star wars ip at least they were entertaining.

The show runners are able to do much more involved & detailed storytelling on an animated shows.
Animated shows also have the advantage of being able to take place in various planets. Live action stages and sets cost money. That's the reason why half of the live action shows have thus far been on desert dirt ball planet like Tatooine. Watching the Clone Wars and Rebels was the first time that Star Wars didn't feel like a small neighborhood.
Even all the best characters are coming out of the animated side. Ventress, Cad Bain, Ashoka, Saw Guerrera, etc. Hell son, the live action didn't even know how to use Maul. If it were all up to the live action stuff, Maul would just be a guy who looked cool once and then immediately died like a dumb ass. The animated side of things gave him a voice and backstory.
Basically the animated side of Star Wars has been doing all the heavy lifting for about 25 years running.

Man, this shit has to be trash. The reviews I seen from folks I trust, the clips that I thought were edited to make the show look bad but are fucking real, and the fact that even BGOL ain't trying to sugarcoat it means this has to be bad.
So Disney is basically fucking up the only girl boss character they had left in an era where they trying to girl boss every damn thing. Rey is deceased as far as most real fans are concerned, but Ahsoka gets love. Sad they did her like this. How do they keep fucking up this franchise?

More of a sadist, actually, but to your point....it was twice because I saw when they originally aired then I watched again on Disney + as a refresher
A few years ago I binge watched rebels because I never got past season 1 and two episodes into season 2 a few boring filler episodes that out mento sleep like the space whales and that base with the spider monsters. They spent a lot of time on lothal so it was pretty much Ezra gets a vision " my parents blah blah blah they go searching and never find them wash rinse repeat. Even when they were about to go to a new world or do something different Ezra would get a vision and here we go again. Ezra was what I hated most about the show . He held it back from being good. They should've never made him force sensitive and kanan should've been the main character. Season four showed his kid friendly this show was with this filler episode about some punk kid rebels. There were a few things I liked like the Jedi bendu, there were weapons and vehicles that made it to battle front 2015 like zeb's bo riffle , the b-wing and imperial rocket troopers. That was the good. Another thing I hated was the show was bloated with guest appearances like Leia , lando, etc. The only guest I liked was saw Guerra. Then there's dumb shitni don't care for like the world within worlds. This show is a Disney kids show in a star wars skin that ruined the continuity and that ending was garbage. That's why I don't like this show.
Nope the Animated shows screwed up continuity and worse they were made canon because of the Disney take over. Clone wars was over rated and made the Jedi look like idiots. Rebels did the same by making thrawn and the empirel nothing more than a Saturday morning villian that got foiled by a group that was the star war ealquivalent to Scooby's gang
These shows should've been nothing more than cartoons that had no relevance whatsoever to the main canon
