Martha Stewart Calls Pete Davidson ‘the Son I Never Had’
By Charu Sinha@charulatasinha

Martha Stewart has finally clarified that she is not, in fact, dating Pete Davidson in the wake of his recent breakup with Kim Kardashian. In an interview with the Daily Mail, Stewart laughed off a viral tweet that includes a photo of her and Davidson holding hands at this year’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner, with a caption that reads, “We should’ve seen this coming.” Stewart cleared the air, telling the Daily Mail on Friday, “Pete Davidson is like the son I never had. He is a charming boy who is finding his way. I’ve invited him to come on my podcast and I look forward to hearing what he has to say.” Good to know that Stewart hasn’t changed her position on home-wrecking. Meanwhile, Davidson has yet to comment or confirm his appearance on Stewart’s podcast — watch this space.

Pete Davidson Is Low-key Booked and Busy Post-SNL
By Zoe Guy
The title of a really good Ariana Grande song. Photo: Jose Perez/Bauer-Griffin/GC Images
Martha Stewart’s son from another mum Pete Davidson is racking up post-SNL credits faster than he racks up exes. And they’re not just any old made-for-TV and/or streaming movie — the comedian is starring in Taco Bell breakfast commercials that have drawn the ire of Live Más stans on Reddit will star alongside the Michelle Yeoh in Transformers: Rise of the Beast, the seventh entry in the money-making Paramount Pictures franchise, per The Hollywood Reporter. Davidson will voice Mirage, while Yeoh will voice Airazor. Judas and the Black Messiah’s Dominique Fishback and In the Heights’ Anthony Ramos are other big names attached to the project. And that’s not all — working with Yeoh is only the tip of the celebrity iceberg. Davidson will also appear in Craig Gillespie’s Dumb Money, a film about the Big Game Stop Short Squeeze of 2021, alongside former White Men of the Month Paul Dano, Seth Rogen, and Sebastian Stan, as well as Shailene Woodley. Sony Pictures is calling their movie the anti–Social Network for its David-versus-Goliath themes, Deadline reports (though it’s a bit premature to compare a movie in preproduction to anything David Fincher does). Anyway, good for Pete! Gotta fund the alleged “My girl is a lawyer ” tattoo removals somehow.

Martha Stewart says she'd date 'sort of cute' Pete Davidson: 'He knows how to get in and get out'

The lifestyle expert said her hypothetical companion was "even twerpier than Bieber" when they first met.

By Lauren HuffOctober 25, 2022 at 08:43 PM EDT

Martha Stewart has given the green light to Pete Davidson.
During an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show on Tuesday, the lifestyle expert participated in a game of "Red Flag, Yellow Flag, Green Flag," wherein different dates were pitched to her and she had to say whether she'd give it a chance (green), say no (red), or be on the fence (yellow).
First up, Barrymore suggested a date with someone who "has as many tattoos as Pete Davidson," to which Stewart immediately held up her green flag. When Barrymore took it a step further and suggested the hypothetical date would actually be with Davidson, Stewart again wasted no time in giving it the go.
"There's a thing on the internet where everybody wants you to go on a date with him," Barrymore told her guest.

Stewart, 81, pointed out that Davidson, 28, who has been romantically linked in recent years with everyone from Kate Beckinsale to Ariana Grande to Kim Kardashian, has "dated so many women." Stewart added, "No, I'm not saying that's bad. I think that's good and he's sort of cute."
Stewart then agreed that "everybody loves" Davidson, adding, "I know him…He was on the [Justin] Bieber roast with me, do you remember? He was this little twerp. He was even twerpier than Bieber."
Barrymore cut in to suggest that everyone speaks about Davidson in such a positive way that "he has to be a good guy," and Stewart couldn't disagree with that.
"Oh, he is a good guy," Stewart admitted, before she joked of Davidson's short relationships: "He's a very good guy and he knows how to get in and get out." The look on Barrymore's face was priceless before she gathered herself (and the audience) and moved the game along.

SNL newcomer Devon Walker doesn't mind the Pete Davidson comparisons: 'People want to f--- that guy'

No complaints here.
By Jessica WangMarch 06, 2023 at 06:47 PM EST

Saturday Night Live newcomer Devon Walker is well aware of those Pete Davidson comparisons — and he isn't too concerned about them.
When the 32-year-old comedian joined season 48 of the sketch comedy series last year as a featured player, viewers noted similarities between him and former cast member Davidson, including their shared sense of humor, laidback personalities, and even physical likeness. While Walker does not see it, he told GQ in a recent interview that he has no problem with the comparisons because "people want to f--- that guy, so I guess that's nice."

After eight years on the show, Davidson bid farewell during the season 47 finale last year. The 29-year-old became one of the youngest cast members when he joined season 40 at the age of 20, and has since become one of this generation's most recognizable stars. His self-deprecating humor and candor on his mental health struggles and high-profile relationships and breakups made him a fan favorite.

Since Davidson's departure, Walker has joined alongside fellow newcomers Marcello Hernandez, Molly Kearney, and Michael Longfellow. It didn't take long for viewers to compare Walker's "Weekend Update" debut to Davidson's final "Weekend Update" appearance.

In conversation with GQ, Walker shared that Sarah Sherman, who joined the show in 2021, offered him beneficial advice on making the transition from intimate comedy clubs to a series that broadcasts to millions.

"I try not to get lost in the grandiosity of it because it is so huge," he said. "Sarah gave me a good piece of advice when I first got hired. Her advice was basically, 'Dude, it's just people.' You know how to perform in front of a room. Don't think about the millions of people behind the camera. Just think about this room right now, and you know how to make a room full of people laugh."
There's a "productive competitiveness" among the cast. "Everybody's just trying to make their best shit and doing something that they feel like is going to be on the show," Walker added. "Everybody's doing that, but nobody's trying to tear each other down."
Catch Walker and co. on SNL Saturdays on NBC at 11:30 p.m., coast to coast.
