Looks like Harris will miss the Patriots game....:smh::smh:

One of Denver's top defensive players, Harris left the game in the third quarter with ankle and knee injuries and did not return. Although X-rays were negative, Harris will undergo an MRI exam on his knee Monday morning. It's almost certain Harris won't play in the AFC championship game next week against Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.

Great. Denver needed to handicap themselves more. Overcome & conquer is the way to go.

Del Rio and Fox seriously needs fix the defense...

They've been saying the top priority is resigning Philips,so that a good thing, since we will have Von back next season..

We need to upgrade at the secondary....

I say keep Rahim Moore and Chris Harris but draft a 3rd corner and saftey...

I also want them to resign Moreno, because I don't trust Ball and Hillman...yet...

I want them to resign decker, but he better not ask more money than he's worth....He didn't fucking show up at all...:smh::smh::smh::smh::smh:

We need to get physical on defense

And Elway needs to sit down with Fox again, because coughing up the ball isn't cutting it ...

Elway also needs to sit down Del Rio on now to take away the ball.....Do they even do that...

Champ need to take a huge pay cut (9mil) maybe peyton...resign drc, Moreno and decker if reasonable. Think they can get hardy (he likes fox) and Denver could Def use him!
Need a veteran corner, lb and safety for depth and to get defense where it needs to be.
Von miller, Phillips and hardy would get pressure on qbs. .knighton, wolf, vickerson etc will eat up the middle and that should help the secondary. I secondary of drc champ and Chris Harris is pretty good as long as they don't have to cover forever! Treavathan proved he's the man! Think Woodyard may be a fa and he lost his starting spot it seems...Not sold on Paris Lenin or nate Irving so lb is a concern

Just heard champ say during an interview that he has at least 1 more year left and stressed the at least part...Don't think he'll chase the $ so he may be willing to cut that 9 mil down!
I'm sure free agents would come to Denver after being in the Super bowl....bitch ass dumervil went to b more and I'm sure he prob regrets it lol
I was thinking Jones drew a free agent and the del Rio connection and Super Bowl may attract home to denver....If he comes cheap...that could work out! But I think the hardy/fox connection is good...Carolina prob franchise him though

I hear some off your moves. But unless they come cheap they gonna have to come in the draft.

Moreno would have to take a pay cut to stay in Denver.

Decker would have to take a pay cut.

Woodyard is out. They'll probably draft the next middle LB.

The defense just doesn't take risks. When you don't take chances, you don't come up with turnovers.

Look like Champ will not retired, but he need to take a pay cut....him and Manning...

I was on the Broncos messageboard...A Broncos reporter said there was 82,000 at the game, but 50,000 were rooting for the Seahawks....

Im shocked, because the Broncos has one of the largest fan bases in the league...:smh::smh::smh:

Anyways what are some of this team needs......

Elway got alittle defensive at the end...I understand he's pissed, how the team played, but to get upset at the reporters is ridiculous...

And for him to say,"Well this was a record breaking team"...while its true,it still don't take away how the team got their asses beat on national television..

Elway should have a long talk with Fox about why the Seahawks knew the hand signals...Why would a coach, use the same hand signals against your opponent for the Superbowl...especially when you played them in the preseason.....

Im starting to question whether Fox should be the coach now, because him being conservative and his inability to find pass rushers is hurting this team....Sure,he found Von,but you need more than one pass rusher to disrupt an offense...Maybe Quanterus Smith is that other guy,but he hasn't played one down yet..

Elway and Fox better draft mostly on the defensive side for depth and as a starter....

I will say this again, this loss is worst than the 49ers one.....We better win atleast 2 or 3 Superbowl's in the next couple of years to erase this embarrassment...:smh::smh::smh:

Richard Sherman and the Seattle Seahawks' defense shut down the Denver Broncos' record-setting offense as if they knew what was coming.

As Sherman tells it, the Seahawks actually did have a good idea about what plays Peyton Manning and the Broncos were going to run in Super Bowl XLVIII.

Sherman told themmqb.com that Seattle's star-studded secondary was able to anticipate Denver's pass routes by figuring out Manning's pre-snap hand signals during the Seahawks' 43-8 blowout of the Broncos on Sunday.

"All we did was play situational football," Sherman told the website in an interview held during one of the Seahawks' postgame victory parties. "We knew what route concepts they liked on different downs, so we jumped all the routes. Then we figured out the hand signals for a few of the route audibles in the first half."

Sherman had drinks in his hand as he spoke, themmqb.com said, but according to the website he seemed much more interested in talking about the game and described how he and his teammates accurately called out Denver's plays based on Manning's hand signs.

The Seahawks forced four turnovers -- three by Manning, the reigning league MVP who set NFL season records for passing yards and passing touchdowns in 2013. Manning was harassed throughout the Super Bowl and often settled for short passes against Seattle's secondary, which also includes Pro Bowl safeties Earl Thomas and Kam Chancellor.

"Me, Earl, Kam ... we're not just three All-Pro players. We're three All-Pro minds," Sherman told the website. "Now, if Peyton had thrown in some double moves, if he had gone out of character, we could've been exposed."

Chancellor and Seahawks defensive coordinator Dan Quinn also said they anticipated Denver's plays, telling The Star-Ledger earlier this week that Seattle's players were able to read Manning's eye movement.

"We were able to jump a few routes," Chancellor told the paper. "Just see everything that develops in front of you, playing off of Peyton's eyes. He takes you right to the ball every time.

"He's a great quarterback, but he definitely has tendencies and he takes you to the ball."

This is base off last year's record....We got the second hardest schedule in the league...

I don't want to hear people say we have a soft schedule when we gotta play the NFC West,New England,Cincinnati, and Indianapolis, this season...that's 6 games alone...:hmm:

I've been reading for the past 2 days now, that the Broncos are trying trade for Darrelle Revis....Also the team is going to talk to D'Qwell Jackson today and tomorrow....

It would be nice to land both of them, especially Darrelle Revis, since the Patriots are interested in him also...

Someday, maybe even years after he has signed his first fat contract as an NFL free agent, Denver Broncos wide receiver Eric Decker will know exactly what Super Bowl XLVIII meant to his life.

There were several things that went wrong for Denver in that 43-8 blowout loss to Seattle, with Decker's disappearance ranking right near the top. Before that contest, he was primed to benefit from being the top receiver available on the open market. When it ended, the entire world could see that the expectations placed upon Decker in future years should be lowered quite a bit.

Decker didn't just hurt his stock by catching one pass for 6 yards in that game. He reminded everybody who witnessed that performance of why football evaluators make distinctions between No. 1 and No. 2 receivers.

The players who fall into the former category can dominate under a variety of circumstances. Those who wind up in the latter group look phenomenal until better cornerbacks and more focused defensive schemes expose them for who they really are.

Once Super Bowl XLVIII ended, we knew exactly where Decker stood in this discussion. Despite all his favorable qualities -- a 6-foot-3, 214-pound frame, respectable speed, dependable hands and eye-catching statistics (87 receptions, 1,288 yards and 11 touchdowns last season) -- he's better off going to a team that knows exactly what it's getting once free agency begins.

Any franchise that thinks the Super Bowl performance wasn't a huge red flag is kidding itself. The minute Decker signs the biggest contract of his life in the coming weeks, it will be Exhibit A as to why he needs more help around him to thrive at this level.

The NFL Network already has reported that the Broncos don't view Decker as a No. 1 receiver (and it helps that they already have a point of reference in their top target, Demaryius Thomas). If the asking price for Decker runs too high, it's almost a given that Broncos general manager John Elway will wish him the best and let him walk.

There's a strong case to be made that Denver quarterback Peyton Manning helped elevate Decker's game over the past two seasons. The Broncos also have 14 other unrestricted free agents to consider, some of whom were just as critical to their success as Decker.

That isn't to say the 26-year-old Decker doesn't have his strengths. He has caught 172 passes over the past two seasons and scored 32 touchdowns since the 2011 season began. He's basically gone from being an unheralded third-round pick in the 2010 draft to a player who has improved with every season he's spent in Denver. There's something to be said for that type of development.

It's just that we've seen this movie before and it rarely ends well. The poster child for overrated free-agent wide receivers is former Dallas Cowboys star Alvin Harper, who signed a huge deal with Tampa Bay in 1995 and caught all of 67 passes for the remainder of his NFL career.

There's an infamous list of pretenders who've followed him as well: Peerless Price, Deion Branch, Javon Walker, Bert Emanuel, Jerry Porter, Yancey Thigpen and, most recently, Miami's Mike Wallace. All were players who cashed in on their success with one team. They subsequently struggled with more money in the bank and more pressure on their backs.

Decker is likely to attract a deal in the area of $10 million per year, given the money that's been paid to free-agent wide receivers in recent years. The leverage he'll wield might even push that price tag even higher. The Indianapolis Colts already have been suggested as a possible landing spot, with the New York Giants and Kansas City Chiefs desperately needing help at receiver as well. The Chiefs saw firsthand what Decker can do when he's really on, as he scored four touchdowns and gained 174 receiving yards against them in a Broncos' win last December.

That game should've been the most memorable moment of Decker's 2014 season. Instead, the image of him locked up by Seattle's secondary in the Super Bowl is what should endure. Decker was a nonfactor in the biggest game of his career, a receiver who couldn't escape tight coverage on play after play in that contest.

With Thomas working against Pro Bowl cornerback Richard Sherman on the other side of the field, the Broncos needed Decker to win consistently against Seattle's lesser defenders. He never did.

The question everybody should've been asking after that performance was obvious: If that's how Decker plays when he's not facing a team's best cover man, how is he going to live up to a huge deal over the course of an entire season?

It's important to note here that Decker wound up with one reception in that game largely because Manning stopped looking in his direction. The Broncos spent the entire second half feeding Thomas to the point that he set a Super Bowl record with 13 receptions.

So it will be interesting to see exactly how teams approach Decker in negotiations. He clearly is talented enough to help another franchise win games, but it's not as if he's bringing rare ability to the table.

As disappointing as Wallace was in Miami this past season, at least his breathtaking speed set him apart from everybody else in that free-agent class. You could at least understand why the Dolphins were so fascinated by his potential.

Decker, on the other hand, will need just as much talent around him at his next stop if he's going to deliver on his own promise. The mistake here is to think he's similar to Green Bay's Jordy Nelson, a player with similar size, speed and productivity. He's not. We've seen Nelson, who's one of the most underrated receivers in the league, display more big-play ability throughout his career, particularly in clutch moments. With a deal that averages about $5 million a season, Nelson also is one of the best bargains in the league.

Decker probably won't be able to make that claim once this offseason ends. He's going to get paid extremely well, and he's going to be asked to do things under much tougher circumstances.

The good news is that he's had a chance to learn from one of the game's greatest quarterbacks. The bad news is that Manning won't be with him once Decker finally has to prove just how good he really is.

Everything about Decker in that article is true....the biggest thing that annoys me about him,is when he always looking for a pass interference call on every single play......:smh::smh::smh::smh:

Looks like Holliday is out also...

This is not surprising news. Holliday, while possessing ridiculous explosion that led to a plethora of return touchdowns--also possessed an equally potent and deadly fumbling problem that showed up in the punt game. This led the Broncos to use Eric Decker late in the season as the punt returner while Trindon remained back to return kickoffs.

Couple his diminutive role with the fact that the return game is almost entirely active from the punting aspect and you have someone that cannot justify a spot on this roster.

you guys need speed at the lb position. that should be priority #1
anyone with a mobile qb can escape the pocket and basically trot wherever they want to go.

Wilson did it in the super bowl. Pryor did it during the regular season.

even if its a guy you draft. the free agents this season aren't even on my radar. i doubt we do anything.. we don't need to. just sign our own. maybe kick the tires on hester.

but just address that part of it. speed at the lb position and work them in there. that's the way the league is going.

look at us, the seahawks and the panthers. they don't get eaten up by mobile qb's everyone else does.
