The only part that was ridiculous was Maggie clearly saying "if they come back, we dont have the resources for another fight."

How the fuck did no one wake up when the walker fell down the stairs. That fall was loud as shit, yet folks kept snoring like nothing happened.
That little boy is a huge liability and needs to be disposed of quickly.
I also find the use of gasoline powered vehicles very unrealistic. Why does the hilltop have an infinite supply of gas but not enough food?
Where the fuck is Rick getting ammo for his six shooter? No one else has one so it's not like he just takes it from a dead person.

This is by far one of the worst episodes. I was too busy questioning why there were no guards. Just too many holes in this shit.

For that matter, why weren't the patients locked away from everyone else?
Even if the saviors hadn't infected their weapons there was still a good chance that some of the hilltop could die from their injuries. So they decide to leave them in a trailer with the door wide open?
Even after their "leader" saw this exact scenario go down in the prison a few seasons back?
Didn't even set trip wires in the yard for an early warning system.
Even having all those people in the house. Nobody thought it was at least possible that someone could die in their sleep?

I have to say, it was kind of ridiculous.
Best part to me was the setup of the saviors. The plan was perfect. no way Simon should have lived.

How did 30+ savior prisoners not figure out a way to break a simple padlock while everyone was asleep?

It would have made more sense had they killed all the invading saviors(which they should have the way the trap was set). Then they let their guard down celebrating their victory and people start to turn. But even then, people show signs of being infected.
Doesn't anyone proofread that shit before shooting? You'd think someone would have been in the room and been like.

Exactly they killed off Corralll for that fucktard??? I mean Corralll ignored a walker that eventually killed Dale. Yet this chip on shoulder lil bastard freed an entire pen of hostile enemy combatants including the one who killed his brother. Talk about dumb luck.

I think they called themselves being smart by finding a way to add the biological warfare from the comic into the show.
The irony is for every savior they did kill, Henry freed 38 more to add back to the army.
The line thing is true, but never think they play her as incapable. In her date with Rick, He gave her like 9 to kill by herself, while he had 4.
And nobody really has lines anymore outside of Maggie, Simon, and Negan.
Everyone else is pretty much one liners, even Rick.
One thought that occurred to me after my last post is that maybe these guys didn't want to escape.
Life as a savior requires you to give up your wife, steal to survive, work under an oppressive "point" system, kneel when the boss comes and give up your personal identity. Otherwise you can get your face burned with a hot iron or worse. At the Hilltop these guys got free food, protection, and a break from their grueling labor. Once they found out they weren't going to be executed why the hell would they want to be free?
Perhaps Simon's decision to kill the prisoners was to 1) Prove Simon's sadism 2) Show how incompetent Simon is compared to Negan.
Killing the prisoners ensures that you're going to have twice as many people to fight. It also kills morale since many of your troops aren't going to want to kill their friends and family. Simon further confirms this incompetence when he marches his troops in a straight line underneath 3 rows of open windows. If not for plot armor Simon never would have survived.
I figured I'd binge watch this. Up to the 5th episode of second season. This shit, so far, is the same. Dumb white people, weak black dude, and the arrogant villain. A white woman is the strongest character, or appears to be.
I think Jeffery Dean Morgan is a good actor, and his Neagan is entertaining but either the way he is written or JD Morgan's spin on the role...makes him kinda almost likeable when it would be better if he was less humorous. Like the "claim" guy (motorcycle gangish dude)... I think his acting style is more flat out menacing.
Claim guy's system makes sense when you're a nomad, but doesn't work when you have a fixed settlement. Also, it's a lot easier to get away with sadism when people like you.
IMO Morgan's appoach to the role works because he is so likable, not in spite of it
I don’t see how this show survives another season. I’ve LOVED this show for years but ever since this whole Negan arc started I’ve liked it less and less. I wish they would’ve introduced a “Wolves” arc instead. I’ll say again RICK IS THE HERO OF THE SHOW, once they made Rick start looking like a scary bitch and made Negan the main character the show started to suck. I guess Negan was a popular character in the comics because they are continuing to force his character on the show even though it’s clearly not going over with the audience
The Negan thing must be 50/50.

Now come to find out Morgan is the character that crosses the Fear and Walking worlds. People complaining about that.
The writing has also become horrible. I've seen people saying this last episode was one of the WORST in the entire series. From the "ninja zombies" who were able to walk and FALL DOWN STAIRS undetected to all those bullets flying and no one getting killed to that lil boy going into the prisoners cage and freeing everybody. The episode just sucked and I still don't see how Maggie out of nowhere became the leader of the Hilltop when she was pregnant and close to death. If she even pregnant anymore???
