I think the girl is his kid. I think he started looking for her because he liked the red head in the 1st ep, an when she died she told him find the girl in the woods its his destiny.

This show was better than the mandolarian

Hedgehog dude got cursed after he slept with the princess. And he gave the Witcher the claim to his first born at the wedding.

The Witcher | Character Introduction: Yennefer of Vengerberg | Netflix

Jaroslav Mihok

I imagined someone else for Yen but what i see so far is good. I think this actress has great potentional. We will see. Good luck Anya.

Damn Episode 5 :bravo:

Anya did a great job as Yennefer. Thought she looked too young to play her at first. Award winning performance IMO.

Trying to resist the urge to start The Witcher 3 again lol.

I thought is was decent.. not good as I thought I was going to be..

the first two episodes were kind of a mess. couldn't get a grip on the story.. then they started time jumping... this story did not need that

Ok. This was excellent! I didn’t know what to expect because I haven’t played the games or read the books, but I was pleasantly surprised. I thought the series was very good and has potential to be as good as GOT.

I know I said earlier in this thread that I was getting ready to stop watching after episode 6 after I was have halfway through it. I was pissed about the mages magic and not using it at times when I thought it was needed. However, I came in this thread to vent and @Gemini posted an explanation and it made some sense. It’s like he knew exactly when folks would question the magic and he made his post. I am glad I finished that episode and continued to watch. I really like this series and after seeing that it’s actually a bunch of novels in the Witcher series I feel this show has potential to be great.

Netflix really step it up with this series. I thought all was lost when they lost Marvel, but I see that have a plan. They have made some good movies and series this past year. Ain’t no stopping the juggernaut known as Netflix. Well done!

For instance, the god daughter and the Witcher hug, but from what I could keep track of they have never formally met before that day.

The Queen told Ciri to look for him before she left. As,for Geralt,he knew about Ciri but never saw her before. He probably knew it was her due to her looking like her mother..

Next the queen and king seemed to be upset that the Witcher never came to visit his GD, but they never wanted him to claim her anyway and arrested him for coming to save her.

They were upset probably because he originally turned down being a knight and being Ciri's Law of Surprise

Im probably wrong about this though.

Finally the Witcher claims not to believe in fate, so what triggered him to come for the girl. I'm sure I missed what caused him to want to return for her, but again he never met her, never wanted to claim her as his prize and doesn't believe in fate. I don't even think he stayed in contact with the parents, so it's not like he made an promise to take care of her.

That gold dragon told him he can't escape his destiny after he told Yennefer, she couldn't bare children.Im going to assume that's what mde him go back to Cintra for Ciri

I stand corrected, the queen was upset because Geralt wanted the Law Surprised as payment...Not knowing the queen's daughter was pregnant at the time..

these showrunners need to stop this jumping through time shit...I think they think it makes them look smart

but this show needed a more straight forward narrative and more world building..i bet they lost a lot of people just from shear confusion

i'm actually kinda dissapointed becasue this story should have been told better..

Watch the first three episodes and here my take so far:

The Witcher had a better sword fight using the force than all the Star Wars fights combined.

I was like damn son, they made you hit that? Taking one for the team
