This week's free Witcher 3: Wild Hunt downloadable content -- a Wolf School Gear scavenger hunt and alternative look for Triss -- is now available for download on Xbox One and PC (Steam and GOG). It'll be released for PS4 tomorrow, CD Projekt RED Community Lead Marcin Momot confirmed. For those who missed the announcement, here's what's free this week:
New Quest: Scavenger Hunt: Wolf School Gear: Adventure awaits! Embark on an epic treasure hunt and get your hands on a long-lost elite set of Wolf School witcher gear!
Alternative Look for Triss: Love to play dress up? Now you can with this exclusive new look for Triss Merigold.
The Wolf School Gear features a set of upgradable (4 level) armor along with a set of upgradable (4 level) Silver and Steel swords. You'll have to buy maps from a number of merchants across Temeria to find all the pieces.
Meanwhile, as you can see from the screenshots, Triss' alternative costume will switch her bland, basic outfit with something a bit more... revealing.
The release of this week's DLC means we are now more than halfway through CD Projekt RED's 16 planned DLC packs for The Witcher 3. Last week's bundle came in the form of a new quest and neutral Gwent card set. Before that we had the Nilfgaardian Armor Set and an Elite Crossbow set. You can still download previously released content, which includes a new quest (Contract: Missing Miners), a cosmetic option for Yennefer, the Temerian Armor Set, and a set of new beards and hairstyles for Geralt. The reamining DLC packs will be released on a weekly basis throughout June and July.
Beyond the free DLC, CD Projekt Red plans to support The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt with two "massive" expansions -- "Hearts of Stone" and "Blood and Wine" -- that are included in the game's Season Pass for $24.99.

There's a bunch of those scavenger hunts that I've unlocked but haven't done. Think I only completed one. I may try to finish up the main story before Arkham Knight drops. But think I'll keep taking my time and enjoy the game. I'll put it on the shelf for a week then hit it again if I don't finish before the 23rd.

As you advance Witcher has some WTF moments. I saw some guys on the way to my destination. So I hop off and a few of the guys have bow and arrows. After multiple attempts I try to hide behind the tree for a 1v1 who ever comes close. So as I'm using the tree to block the arrows, a arrow comes though the tree.

I just got to Skellige. Hit Yen getting that mask. Then went to find that Viking chick that was choosing hard at the party. The whole mission she was like "Whats up with you and ole girl???

Not to spoil anything but most games let you have a final decision on who you choose to be with. You don't get that option here like when Liara and Ashley in Mass Effect 1 make you choose. I'm about to start the last mission so I'm not getting the best ending for Geralt.
Maybe future dlc will let players have a second chance.I've never played W1 or W2. That being said, would I be able to follow the plot if I picked up W3 or would I just be completely confused. Should I avoid playing W3 if I haven't played W1 and W2?
I didn't play the first two Witcher games either but I was still able to enjoy Witcher 3. I watched the recap video so I wouldn't be completely lost.

Me either. But there's a quest where you sit down and give answers to what you did or didn't do in the previous games that dictates who shows up later. Also if I remember correctly it asks at the start if you want to upload saves from previous games. I think it's to run through previous events or skip it. But no. You won't be lost story wise. You will have a learning curve though. They don't tell you much. Just put you out there and says go be somebody.
I finished the main story yesterday. I got a good ending. Everyone who is supposed to survive based on your decisions survived. I screwed up with Triss & Yen as I said before. I had to check online becase after a cut scene with Ciri I was worried about the outcome. Went back a save from two minutes ago and changed the dialogue. Only things left for me is to visit the ? locations in different areas. I have a few horse races, fist fights, Gwent , and scavenger hunts to go after. I'll return to this off and on over the summer while I play Arkham Knight.

CD Projekt Red has detailed the latest free DLC content update for its critically acclaimed open-world RPG The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
The latest content includes the Skellige armor set, as well as a new Skellige's Most Wanted contract.
CD Projekt Red previously detailed plans to release sixteen free expansions for The Witcher 3. The first two, The Temerian Armor Set (for your horse) and the Beard and Hairstyle Set (for Geralt), were released when the game launched on May 19.
The second batch , the Missing Miners contract and the alternative look for Yennifer, was released May 26.
The remaining ten will be released on a weekly basis throughout June and July.
CD Projekt Red co-CEO Marcin Iwinski previously explained why the studio is giving away content for free. He said that free content is a means of saying thank you to fans.
"As gamers, we nowadays have to hold on tight to our wallets, as surprisingly right after release, lots of tiny pieces of tempting content materialize with a steep price tag attached. Haven't we just paid a lot of cash for a brand new game?" he said. "At CD Projekt Red, we strongly believe this is not the way it should work and, with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, we have decided to do it differently. This is our way of saying thank you for buying our game."
Looking further ahead, CD Projekt Red plans to release multiple paid expansions for The Witcher 3. The first of these, Hearts of Stone, will launch in October.

this a game I'm have to take my time w/...didn't play for a minute...thought I could hop on and fuck w/ a couple of guards in the 1st town you enter looking for the chic after beating up a couple of tavern drunks...them guards laid me out cleanly...twice
That's not the only time you're be in a fist fight with multiple enemies. I learned how to counter recently while doing the fist fights for money you're find around the map.
