Funny how people that don't do blue collar work, can raise hell about the money that other people work, when those people make everybody lives easier. The longshore men are capped our at $39 which is 87,300 a year. They make additional money via overtime. They wanted the pay increase because they don't have a pension and they wanted there pay to be comparable to the west coast branch of the union and that do get a pension. The dock workers earn their salary and wont to be compensated for it. Nobody was complaining when the shipping companies was price gouging everybody during covid and making record profits.
