Vic had the oppurtunity to leave with his baddie chick and start a new life.
He chose to stay and that sealed his fate

We talkin bout different things.Bro i think you misreading the whole series; Oz story was very tragic; he killed his own brothers!!!! Sophie was tragic as well; she wasnt gullible just got did dirty by her pops!!!
Naive. Gullible. Call it what you want. It’s a problem for her. She’s averse to mercilessness, but playin a ruthless game…And Sofia with the classic villain trope, talk too much just kill the guy
We talkin bout different things.
Tragic means something specific in craft of storytelling
Most pro writers base shit off Aristotle blueprint and therein are tragedies and comedies.
Tragedy is where flaws aren’t learned from or overcome - so Oedipus or Vincent Vega character in Pulp Fiction and Sofia
Comedies are the opposite - so any horror flick with a final girl is an Aristotelian comedy and Oz in this is also living a happily Aristotelian comedic hero’s fantasy lol he’s the final “bird” lmao
Most fiction is comedy where hero or lead overcomes obstacles AND can only survive by overcoming an otherwise tragic flaw
You said it yourself re: Sofia —

She’s not just talkin. She’s conflicted.
Then fuggedaboudit lolI don't know if I agree with that part.

Then fuggedaboudit lol
But no. In all seriousnessI don't know if I agree with that part.
I got what you sayinI'm saying gassing your whole family, beating a woman to death, shooting a man in the head in a crowded room, torturing various people and destroying that young girl's life is pretty merciless.
but that's just me
But no. In all seriousness
Just compare her to Oz
That dude was/is merciless. Not heartless.
They both do love.
He can just adapt no matter what.
What he wants matters more than anything else to him.
Vics end shows him he’s gotta tighten up. He’s gonna pull that trigger every time.
I was surprised he didn’t Merc da hoe in last moments too lol
But he found a genuine way for her to serve him for now — gon get her too tho when her useful runs out lol
I got what you sayin
Assume my second message clarifies
And yea. Much of this shit is self defense/survival for her. Some of it is theater… headshot for ex
Her ambition is shaky lol and her regrets are real
Great character pairing Oz and Sofia

it would be lazy ...

I gotta say, a few times I was like, "damn, thats a great shot" during this series. I cant say enough positive shit about this show. And to think I thought Agatha was gonna be better. While also good, isnt even close to being as good as The Penguinthe lighting of Penguin's face at Monroe's when they did the group counselling session?
Gawd damn.
Yeah I’m torn on if this show is as great as I think it is or is it better than I expected it to be.I think something emulating and being inspired by something doesn't necessarily make it equal. (not that YOU are saying that)
Its in the realm yes.
Masterclass is kinda strong
it would be lazy ...
