The complicated lives of two women from different walks of life become even more complicated after the disappearance of a young girl. I didn't like the direction at the beginning of the first episode I thought it was to jumpy so much so I found it very annoying. But once the story gets going I found myself becoming more involved and just as aggravated as the two leads as they deal with disappointments and trying to find more fulfilling paths in their lives.

Watched the tv series Presumed Innocent the past 2 months, followed by the original movie from 1990 this past Tuesday.

Enjoyed them both.

Some stuff worked better for each version. I thought Rusty and Barbara were portrayed well in each. The TV versions of Tommy Molto and Nico Della Guardia were definitely more effective than in the movie. The judge was good in both TV & movie form. Raul Julia was great in the 2nd half of the movie (rest in peace - always enjoyed his acting). Brian Dennehy was good, as per usual. I hadn't seen one of his movies in years.

On the whole I preferred the TV series ... just because the characters were more fully formed than you can do in a mere 2 hours.
