I already broke down my opinion on that.

His individual performance to me was masterful. I didn't think the OVERALL movie was good. But Ezra, Keaton, Supergirl were all putting in serious work.

I ate that shit up it might've been nostalgia getting me but man I loved Flash. But the shit surrounding it......it should've been a one off like they are doing.

I'm really happy you liked it like that. Don't let us complaining mess that up. It's not a sh*tshow on screen by any means.

It took way too long to come out (ie Black Adam), expectations were way too high, folks hyped it up too much and Ezra is an asshole.

Plus the CGI ending looked off, relatives of the dead were pissed, Nic Cage was pissed and the twist ending was ruined way earlier.

And actors who were IN THE MOVIE (I see you Zod) trashed the entire movie and genre and tried to DEFEND Ezra.

Movie can't survive ALL that unless it's perfect.

And like it or not even you would agree it ain't that.

But even despite all that? That movie was NOT the worst. And I would actually revisit it to try to watch it baggage free.

Maybe create a Better bookend of Affleck and Keaton

Supergirl representing loss of an ENTIRE planet and moving on

In fact Flashpoint is all about loss and regret and moving on. And they forget that.

for all the issues of Shazam I KNEW what it was about at least. Same with Black Adam even though that had the same issue of not figuring out its central theme and conveying to the audience effectively.

Besides the cameos, Keaton (Killed it) and even Clooney was exceptional. But not Ezra. I hate him. Ruined this movie.If they did a Keaton Dark Knight or Elseworlds I'd support it. Batman beats a Krytonian but not the Flash?!! GTFOH

I think it's smart for Jimmy to keep ALL his options open why not?

They gave Ezra the full protection they would never give a black actor and after a huge flop that unlike the other failures was completely because of he she them nasty antics.

Grant and that CW crew took their roles very seriously and repped DC/WB real well BEFORE the hype.

It would be a smart good will gesture.

That man blamed EVERYONE but himself or the lead.

He had the nerve to blame the actual fictional character ?

That fictional character has had a longer more successful career then this guy.

That movie was in development longer than blade damn near before it finally hit the screen

Maybe Andy don't have the studio heads come out and call it the greatest movie of all time?

Especially when your lead was with axtually in a holding cell?

And the special effects looked like they were made for the Neo Geo.

And you completely wasted supergirl

I think this dude is deliberate trying to get away from DC studios for some reason.

The Batman director is bugging out too

Wtf my man Gunn doing over there?

Maybe stop directing and writing all the projects and run this damn studio Jimmy.
 
Mannn... I had to stop the movie when Iris first showed up. Ezra is WAAAYYYY too gay for me to believe his version of the Flash was in love with any female, much less a sister. Can DC at least cast a guy who likes full grown women to play a character that has to act like he's in love with one?

They shoulda cast Grant Gustin and called it a day.

DC is still a shit show as Marvel is getting its second wind after Deadpool & Wolverine. If superheroes films are still viable for the rest of this decade into the next, it will likely be Marvel holding on to the lead.

Penguin was lauded by critics fans and people who didn't even like Batman

And you know the record breaking numbers Superman trailer got.

The Lobo announcement was well received

I got faith in Gunn.

The superhero genre ain't going anywhere.

Will every superhero movie be a hit,

No.

But every anything isn't a hit.

I got faith in Gunn but I don't like these recent revelations because they are internal no gossip real inner working management stuff. Something everyone was worried about when Gunn was hited and why Safrin was put there.

We gotta see the response to Captain America with T.rump in office

If that goes well like 400 million + well?

How much of that is DCEU though? I know Penguin isn't DCEU. I'm curious about Lobo but have no interest in Superman as a main character.

I like Gunn but he seemed to have peaked with GoTG 2 and everything he released after, IMO, hasn't been that great.

All that being said, I do agree there's still a market for superheroes but maybe not to the same extent as it was when the MCU was at its peak.

It's all under Gunn. DC studios. He is the boss of all these comic book properties: live action animated video games and even has some sway with Lee in print.
