Coach K is overrated

Lebron is not a top 5, skilled scorer of all time.

Miami is overrated

Illmatic is not a top 5 album of all time in quality, sales, production, or lyricism, all the top albums are group albums with more than 10 tracks.

There is no such thing as a "best" rapper of all time

I agree with all these points. Miami stinks. I've been and it's just people pretending to be celebrities.
Best rapper can't be a thing because music is art, and all art is subjective. People can have a preference, but there can't be a crowned best.

Coach K-the best basketball coach in history. Note he hasn't really coached for the past 6 or so years. His assistants are running the show. Look what he done with what he had.
Miami sucks. Orlando is the most happening spot in Florida and not because of Disney.

In my eyes, this is the legacy Coach K leaves.

Coach K is the most influential and best recruiter in the modern age of basketball. He is probably the best motivator of all time, because he made "average" players play better than they actually were, and most of his teams always played hard and were aggressive. He was the first coach to truly accept and take advantage of the 3 point line, when the older coaches struggled to adjust to that in the 80's and 90's. He coached some of the best "white boy" lead teams in history, 3 of his championships were lead by experienced white boys.

His best strategic coaching moves of his career was going big, moving Scheyer to pg in 2010 at the end of the season, and bringing Grayson Allen in the game at the end off the bench during the championship in 2015 vs Wisconsin. Cameron Indoor Stadium was the number 1 home advantage in college basketball history.

He is in not my top 5 "strategic" or "contributers" to the game, but is in my top 5 overall coaches of all time, but #1 overall coach in the "modern era" of basketball, solely based on his winning and recruiting.

Grant Hill is the only player, that he developed (played at least 2.5 seasons at Duke) that became a superstar in the NBA. He never developed any Hall of Fame players or coaches. He was more of a recruiter, and motivator, than a teacher/developer.

Coach K is kinda like Lebron, if you are under 30, and never saw the older coaches or witnessed a lot of shit, then Coach K is going to appear like the best thing to you since sliced bread.

I agree with the most of this. He is the best motivator of all time. His best quality was he could be Bobby Knight without being a asshole.. He had to go toe for toe with Dean Smith and Roy Williams. Dude knew how to battle the innovators.

I miss the days when you could ask a question on BGOL and get a well thought out answer that makes you wanna read up and learn more about the topic.

Now you get hotep infused dumb shit.
There are a lot of folks here that still want to have the real conversations. Just have to skip past the folks that aren't here for that.

I think there may be some validity to what Jimmy the Greek said about black athletes.
I know the topic is about opinions but that particular one is just not true..

slave breeding may have happened but that whole connection to sports excellence is bullshit and an insult. Two healthy people getting together will produce a....healthy child thats about all.

If it were that simple then other civilizations long ago would have been doing it to raise super soldiers or brilliant scientists. Going back the egyptians, phoenicians hell the sumarians would have figured that shit out...they can create structures that would last centuries yet not come up with a way to breed a better human being?? Shit the nazis were actively trying to create a perfect race at no point did they say lets just breed big strapping Hans to big strapping Olga. So to say that some rednecks in south carolina were able to achieve thru basic animal husbandry what brilliant scientific people before and after them couldn't do is just ridiculous.

but lets reverse it..if forced slave breeding is responsible for elite black athletes today..

whats responsible for elite white athletes??

what forced manipulation process did Michael Phelps ancestors have to endure for him to win 7 gold medals??? AND this nigga's a pot head...

White athletic excellence = hard work and genetic luck of the draw

Black athletic excellence = slave breeding because rednecks made it happen.
this is what we're talking about??

actually white supremacists make the claim that because of breeding and genetics blacks have lower IQs than whites and asians...do you REALLY want to cosign that bullshit...thats the main problem with breeding..you can use it to justify positives and negatives depending on how you want to spin it.

Just sat down and watched the 1st episode... Eeeeeeeee... Seemed really unnatural to me. I dont know who was writing but that shit was kinda cringe. Always gonna support the brother, but that was kinda rough... I expect it to get better.
My thoughts on the premiere are not yet ready for public consumption.

2nd episode was better.

Reminds me of the 1st episode of Blackish, it was over the top and slightly coonish IMO, I wrote it off but fortunately it got much better as time went on.

Bo is going from being a personality and a high-level commentator on both radio and TV, to working to become an entertainer. Not the quickest or easiest transition to make, but I’ll root for and support him all the way (I signed up for HBO Max only because of his new show), I just hope he’ll continue being his authentic self.

Arian Foster in his prime was the best complete running back I ever saw play live.

Free pussy actually is easier to get now even in this current age of high level tricking & thotting.

Homework should not be given to children in elementary, middle, and high school. When people go home they shouldn’t bring work inside the house.
This is the absolute truth.
The Educational system in the US is antiquated and outdated.
These school projects that my kids would bring home for homework were completely useless.
Same thing for those worksheets.
Completely useless.
If there are any educators on the board, please chime in.

Part of the reason for the useless home work, (which I agree is worthless and oppressive, except in the cases of special projects on occasion), is that teachers are expected to assign homework on a regular basis. Not doing so simply provides ammunition should an unfriendly administrator decide she wants to ruin a staff members career.

Some schools actually require teachers to GRADE homework, which is ridiculous, as one can never know who actually completed the homework in question.

Worksheets are part of a thriving teacher paraphernalia industry. There are actually teacher stores, that specialize in things such as posters, worksheet templates, cardboard boarders for decorating rooms, and other items.

The education system in the U.S. is largely a money mill. Most people lack the education to even ask the right questions at a parent-teacher conference.

If you have kids, and send them to a public school, I can almost guarantee you that there are activities that go on daily that would appall you if you knew about them. For instance, are you aware that many school districts allow completely unqualified people to run classrooms as classroom teachers, due to a shortage of qualified people? Your child's reading teacher could quite LITERALLY be someone who is a sub, and could not pass the test for teacher certification, or even someone fired from the check cashing place a month earlier.

Are you aware that charter schools can literally hire whomever they want to fill any position in said school?

I have seen things you people would not believe...

The Fab Five wasn’t really that Fabulous on the court.. Won minimal against Big10 powerhouse schools, won minimum of any Big 10 championships, 0 NCAA championships, 2 rings in the NBA (thank LBJ), was not as good as UNLV’s squad and they did it better.
