Recipe from Air Fry Everything! by Meredith Laurence
Ingredients
  • 4 bananas
  • 3 tablespoons mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3 tablespoons mini peanut butter chips
  • 3 tablespoons mini marshmallows
  • 3 tablespoons graham cracker cereal

Instructions
  1. Pre-heat the air fryer to 400ºF.

Apple Fries with Caramel Cream Dip

Author: The Blue Jean Chef, Meredith Laurence

Serves: 8 to 10

Here's a tasty treat out of your air-fryer. The apples get warm and just a little tender and soft on the inside, but can hold there own when you dip them. You can also try dipping into chocolate sauce or just caramel sauce if you want to keep it dairy free.
Ingredients
  • 3 Pink Lady or Honeycrisp apples, peeled, cored and cut into 8 wedges
  • ½ cup flour
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 8 ounces whipped cream cheese
  • ½ cup caramel sauce, plus more for garnish

Instructions
  1. Toss the apple slices and flour together in a large bowl. Set up a dredging station by putting the beaten eggs in one shallow dish, and combining the crushed graham crackers and sugar in a second shallow dish. Dip each apple slice into the egg, and then into the graham cracker crumbs. Coat the slices on all sides and place the coated slices on a cookie sheet.
  2. Pre-heat the air fryer to 380ºF. Spray or brush the bottom of the air fryer basket with oil.
  3. Air-fry the apples in batches. Place one layer of apple slices in the air fryer basket and spray lightly with oil. Air-fry for 5 minutes. Turn the apples over and air -ry for an additional 2 minutes.
  4. While apples are cooking make caramel cream dip. Combine the whipped cream cheese and caramel sauce, mixing well. Transfer the Caramel Cream Dip into a serving bowl and drizzle additional caramel sauce over the top.
  5. Serve the apple fries hot with the caramel cream dip on the side. Enjoy!

Air-Fried Turkey Breast with Maple Mustard Glaze

Air-Fried Turkey Breast with Maple Mustard Glaze

Author: The Blue Jean Chef, Meredith Laurence

Serves: 6

How great that you can cook a turkey breast in your air fryer! That means that you can roast an additional breast if you're having a huge crowd for Thanksgiving, OR if you're having a smaller group, you can air-fry your turkey and leave your oven available for all the side dishes. You'll need to have a large air fryer for this recipe - at least 5 quarts in size. If you have a smaller air fryer, you can try a boneless 3 pound turkey breast and cook it for about 35 - 45 minutes.
Ingredients
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 5-pound whole turkey breast
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • ½ teaspoon dried sage
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • ¼ cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions
  1. Pre heat air fryer to 350ºF.
  2. Brush the olive oil all over the turkey breast.
  3. Combine the thyme, sage, paprika, salt and pepper and rub the outside of the turkey breast with the spice mixture.
  4. Transfer the seasoned turkey breast to the air fryer basket and air-fry at 350ºF for 25 minutes. Turn the turkey breast on its side and air-fry for another 12 minutes. Turn the turkey breast on the opposite side and air-fry for another 12 minutes. The internal temperature of the turkey breast should reach 165ºF when fully cooked.
  5. While the turkey is air-frying, combine the maple syrup, mustard and butter in a small saucepan. When the cooking time is up, return the turkey breast to an upright position and brush the glaze all over the turkey. Air-fry for a final 5 minutes, until the skin is nicely browned and crispy. Let the turkey rest, loosely tented with foil, for at least 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Roasted Vegetable Pasta Salad

Roasted Vegetable Pasta Salad

Author: The Blue Jean Chef, Meredith Laurence

Serves: 6 to 8

I like a traditional pasta salad, but I love a pasta salad more it when it incorporates flavors beyond the classic mayonnaise-based pasta salads. This salad includes the end of summer vegetables but roasted (or grilled first). Why is this a great summer side? Because you can make it ahead of time – in fact it needs some time for the flavors to mingle - leaving you free to BBQ or better yet, watch someone else do the grilling!
Ingredients
  • 1 orange pepper, large chunks
  • 1 green pepper, large chunks
  • 1 red pepper, large chunks
  • 1 zucchini, sliced in half moons
  • 1 yellow squash, sliced in half moons
  • 1 red onion, sliced
  • 4 ounces brown mushrooms, halved
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • salt and fresh ground black pepper
  • 1 pound penne rigate or rigatoni, cooked
  • 1 cup grape tomatoes, halved
  • ½ cup pitted Kalamata olives, halved
  • 3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil

Instructions
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 380ºF.
  2. Place the peppers, zucchini, yellow squash, red onion and mushrooms in a large bowl, drizzle with a little of the olive oil and toss to coat well. Add the Italian seasoning and season with salt and pepper. Air-fry for 12 to 15 minutes, until the vegetables are soft but not mushy. Stir or shake the basket halfway through the cooking time to evenly roast vegetables.
  3. Combine the cooked pasta, roasted vegetables, tomatoes and olives in a large bowl and mix well. Add the balsamic vinegar and toss. Add enough olive oil to coat everything nicely (you may not use it all). Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  4. Refrigerate the salad until you are ready to serve. Stir in the fresh basil right before serving.

Philly Chicken Cheesesteak Stromboli

Author: The Blue Jean Chef, Meredith Laurence

Serves: 2 to 4

Recipe from, Air Fry Everything! by Meredith Laurence
Ingredients
  • ½ onion, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, partially frozen and sliced very thin on the bias (about 1 pound)
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 14 ounces pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1½ cup grated Cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup Cheese Whiz® (or other jarred cheese sauce), warmed gently in the microwave

Instructions
  1. Pre-heat the air fryer to 400ºF.
  2. Toss the sliced onion with oil and air-fry for 8 minutes, stirring halfway through the cooking time. Add the sliced chicken and Worcestershire sauce to the air fryer basket, and toss to evenly distribute the ingredients. Season the mixture with salt and freshly ground black pepper and air-fry for 8 minutes, stirring a couple of times during the cooking process. Remove the chicken and onion from the air fryer and let the mixture cool a little.
  3. On a lightly floured surface, roll or press the pizza dough out into a 13-inch by 11-inch rectangle, with the long side closest to you. Sprinkle half of the Cheddar cheese over the dough leaving an empty 1-inch border from the edge farthest away from you. Top the cheese with the chicken and onion mixture, spreading it out evenly. Drizzle the cheese sauce over the meat and sprinkle the remaining Cheddar cheese on top.
  4. Start rolling the stromboli away from you and toward the empty border. Make sure the filling stays tightly tucked inside the roll. Finally, tuck the ends of the dough in and pinch the seam shut. Place the seam side down and shape the Stromboli into a U-shape to fit in the air fry basket. Cut 4 small slits with the tip of a sharp knife evenly in the top of the dough and lightly brush the stromboli with a little oil.
  5. Pre-heat the air fryer to 370ºF.
  6. Spray or brush air fryer basket with oil and transfer the U-shaped stromboli to the air fryer basket. Air-fry for 12 minutes, turning the stromboli over halfway through the cooking time. (Use a plate to invert the stromboli out of the air fryer basket and then slide it back into the basket off the plate.)
  7. To remove carefully flip stromboli over onto a cutting board. Let it rest for a couple of minutes before serving. Slice the stromboli into 3-inch pieces and serve with ketchup for dipping if desired.

Inside Out Cheeseburgers

Author: The Blue Jean Chef, Meredith Laurence

Serves: 2

Recipe from, Air Fry Everything! by Meredith Laurence
Ingredients
  • 12 ounces (¾ pound) lean ground beef
  • 3 tablespoons minced onion
  • 4 teaspoons ketchup
  • 2 teaspoons yellow mustard
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 4 slices of Cheddar cheese, broken into smaller pieces
  • 8 hamburger dill pickle chips

Instructions
  1. Combine the ground beef, minced onion, ketchup, mustard, salt and pepper in a large bowl. Mix well to thoroughly combine the ingredients. Divide the meat into four equal portions.
  2. To make the stuffed burgers, flatten each portion of meat into a thin patty. Place 4 pickle chips and half of the cheese onto the center of two of the patties, leaving a rim around the edge of the patty exposed. Place the remaining two patties on top of the first and press the meat together firmly, sealing the edges tightly. With the burgers on a flat surface, press the sides of the burger with the palm of your hand to create a straight edge. This will help keep the stuffing inside the burger while it cooks.
  3. Pre-heat the air fryer to 370ºF.
  4. Place the burgers inside air fryer basket and air-fry for 20 minutes, flipping the burgers over halfway through the cooking time.
  5. Serve the cheeseburgers on buns with lettuce and tomato.

Zucchini Fries

Author: The Blue Jean Chef, Meredith Laurence

Serves: 4

Recipe from, Air Fry Everything! by Meredith Laurence
Ingredients
  • Roasted Garlic Aïoli:
  • 1 teaspoon roasted garlic
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • juice of ½ lemon
  • salt and pepper
  • Zucchini Fries:
  • ½ cup flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 large zucchini, cut into ½-inch sticks
  • olive oil in a spray bottle, can or mister

Instructions
  1. To make the aioli, combine the mayonnaise, olive oil and lemon juice in a bowl and whisk well. Season the aïoli with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Prepare the zucchini fries. Create a dredging station with three shallow dishes. Place the flour in the first shallow dish and season well with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Put the beaten eggs in the second shallow dish. In the third shallow dish, combine the breadcrumbs, salt and pepper. Dredge the zucchini sticks, coating with flour first, then dipping them into the eggs to coat, and finally tossing in breadcrumbs. Shake the dish with the breadcrumbs and pat the crumbs onto the zucchini sticks gently with your hands so they stick evenly.
  3. Place the zucchini fries on a flat surface and let them sit at least 10 minutes before frying to let them dry out a little. Pre-heat the air fryer to 400ºF.
  4. Spray the zucchini sticks with olive oil, and place them into the air-fryer basket in two layers, placing the second layer in the opposite direction to the first. Air-fry for 12 minutes turning and rotating the fries halfway through the cooking time. Spray with additional oil when you turn them over.
  5. Serve zucchini fries warm with the roasted garlic aïoli.

I had been looking at the Butterball air turkey fryer. Is it a different type of fryer than the Phillips fryer? I'm not sure if they do similar things.

I love my t-fal I've used it so much I gotta get a new one, not good for everything mostly fries and chicken but really evenly cooked and crisp with 1tb of oil.

Your mind plays tricks on you when you first use, cause your used to tasting a lot of oil in your food but just keep using it over time greasy food will taste horrible once your taste buds adapt.

That's why bgol is a health nut not everyone is a fat fuck. Tell him to start swimming or working out in the pool the shallow end. Working out in water is better for your knees

Many of these are only staying free for a day or so, so get them asap. I have to add a space so the forum doesn't hide the link so remove the space after amazon.com/ If they aren't currently free add them to your wishlist, the free price will come back around. If you don't have a kindle you can download the kindle app for iOS, android or PC.

I have the Butter ball turkey fryer. U can fry wings, cat fish etc inside without making a mess.

I also got the 7 in one airfryer oven aka the Power Air Fryer oven. U can do a rotisserie chicken among other things.

Thanks. I got the Butterball XL fryer. Although it's hella big, I figured that it would be versatile (i.e., cooking small stuff to a 20 lb. turkey). Haven't used it yet, but I'm looking forward to it. Decent price for $130.

The ones from the website or the kindle books? There are also air fryer books posted in the cookbook forum chowder room area. (I'm going to find a better name for that section eventually.)

good looks.

i'll go the convection oven route.

all stainless steel; no teflon coated chemicals.
I bought one and returned it, I don't see how it is any better than a table top convection oven which can do a whole lot more.

I’m late to the air fryer game, but this thing is really worth it.

I think so personally. Ive seen some people literally dump oil on their seasoned food.

Get a spray bottle via the dollar store and dump your various cooking oil and spray ya wings, french fries , cheese sticks and ya good. If u come in and don't feel like cooking its worth it.

I have the power xl, butter turkey joint, wolf table top and a v12 of a stove .

Airfried Cajun Salmon

The problem with most home-cooked salmon is that it tends to get overcooked. I’ve heard many people (my own family included!) say that salmon sashimi ‘always tastes better than cooked salmon’ because it is so moist and tender, and cooked salmon tend to be dry. That’s because you’re frying your salmon to death!

I’ve seen lots of recipes cooking salmon in the airfryer for 15 minutes and the cook wonders why the salmon is tough after cooking. If your salmon is about 3/4 of an inch thick (as most salmon fillets are), all you need is 6-7 minutes in a preheated airfryer. For even thinner slabs like the tail part, 6 minutes max is all you need.

I use the first-generation Philips 9220, so I set the temperature to 180C, then turn the knob to 5 minutes. In the mean time, I prepare my fish (just sprinkle Cajun seasoning all over – not too much, just enough to coat) and when the orange light is off, I fry my salmon skin side up, on the grill pan for 7 minutes. Eat immediately and don’t let it sit in the airfryer. You don’t want the residual heat to continue cooking the fish. I use this Cajun seasoning but you can use any other brand:

Optional step: If you like crispy keropok-style skin like in this old Airfried Cod Fish recipe, just open your AF drawer at the 3rd or 4th minute and use a pair of tongs to gently lift the skin off the salmon. Fry the skin alongside. When the time is up, remove the salmon and continue to fry the skin for 2-3 minutes until the timer goes off. Let it remain in the airfryer for 1-2 more minutes so it’ll be super keropok-style crispy.

Have fun with this super-simple recipe. You’ll never have to eat dry salmon ever again. Moist, juicy and delicious, always!

Airfried Cajun Salmon (budgetpantry.com)

Serves: 1 (or 2, as part of a Chinese meal)
Total cost per salmon fillet: $8

What you need:

1 piece fresh salmon fillet (about 200g)
Cajun seasoning (just enough to coat)
A light sprinkle of sugar (optional)
Juice from a quarter of lemon, to serve

Steps:

Preheat your airfryer to 180C. For the Philips airfryer, the orange light will go off to indicate that the temperature has been reached. For other brands, typically just preheat for 5 minutes.

Clean your salmon and pat dry. In a plate, sprinkle Cajun seasoning all over and ensure all sides are coated. You don’t need too much. If you prefer a tad of sweetness, add a light sprinkling of sugar. NO seasoning time required. I airfried direct.

For a salmon fillet about 3/4 of an inch thick, airfry for 7 minutes, skin side up on the grill pan. Serve immediately with a squeeze of lemon.

How much I spent:

$8 for fresh Norwegian salmon
Everything else from my pantry

Has anyone tried this?? How did it turn out?
