Naw. It wasn't a robbery. It was a close fight that could have gone either way but not a robbery. You can't clearly lose the second half of a fight and fade away and claim a robbery. I honestly still think Kov was going to eek it out on points though. Essentially the last round was for the fight and the judges felt like Ward brought the fight.

If Jim Lampley worked for the NFL or the NBA, he wouldn't last 1 game. HBO is too stupid to realize that Lampley does more to hurt the sport than any boxer or decision ever. How did you brothers like it when Lampley at one point said Kovalev hit Ward with a devastating right and he got called on his bullshit and had to say "I'd previously said Kovalev hit Ward, and apparently I was mistaken" after they queued up the replay of the punch completely missing.
He's done that for YEARS.

Didnt see the fight but from what Ive read this decision is whats best for boxing. If Kovelev had won no way he fights Wars again and wouldnhave spent years chasing around Stevenson while fighting bums. This close fight and decisiom FORCES him to fight Ward again and Ward needs to fight Kovalev again. One so he can finally get the bread and recognition he needs and 2 boxing needs this type of rivalry in the worst way!

He landed fewer punches so if punches landed are points he had fewer points .
He did not dominate by being the effective aggressor
It would be reaching to even say it was a draw.
Like most I am glad he won because I am a fan.
But if that fight was identical except the fighters were switched and the decision went to the Russian mofokrs would be talking robbery.
