Deere to pay $9.93 mln to settle US SEC bribery probe

Sept 10 (Reuters) - Deere (DE.N), opens new tab agreed to pay $9.93 million to settle a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission probe into violations of a federal bribery law, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, the regulator said on Tuesday.
The settlement resolves charges that from late 2017 through 2020, Deere subsidiary Wirtgen Thailand made improper payments to foreign government officials, including at the Royal Thai Air Force and the Department of Highways, to win business, and also engaged in commercial bribery.

US SEC hits Keurig with $1.5 mln fine over pod recyclability statements

WASHINGTON, Sept 10 (Reuters) - Keurig Dr Pepper Inc (KDP.O), opens new tab agreed to pay a $1.5 million fine to settle U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission charges that the beverage company made inaccurate statements regarding the recyclability of its K-Cup pods, the regulator said on Tuesday.
Keurig in 2019 and 2020 said testing showed its K-Cup pods can be "effectively recycled," even though two of the largest U.S. recycling companies had doubts about the commercial feasibility of recycling them and did not intend to accept them, the SEC said in a statement. Keurig did not disclose to investors the negative feedback from the recycling firms.

The SEC found that with the omission, Keurig violated key provisions of securities laws designed to protect investors. In addition to the civil penalty, the company agreed to a cease-and-desist order, the regulator said.
A spokesperson for Keurig, which did not admit or deny the SEC's findings, said the company is pleased to have resolved the matter and its K-Cup pods are made from a recyclable plastic that is widely accepted at curbside recycling systems across North America.

"We continue to encourage consumers to check with their local recycling program to verify acceptance of pods, as they are not recycled in many communities," the spokesperson said.

Their ai implementation is cool especially in the notes app. I can budget and track purchases without the need of a spreadsheet now.

Interesting! Lets say its replacing teachers, but from this video to me this doent really mean that..its a cheat sheet!! A teacher teaches and you are supposed to retain the information, but if i am doing it like this what if any information that i am retaining! Ijs.. nothing wrong with having this.. i can dig it my self, but many will not retain the info!!

How aggressive are you with your investments in your roth? Would you recommend going conservative and playing the long game? I got Voo in my Roth and wont touch it until retirement
Im not aggressive at all, I still have a good chunk is uninvested. Super cautious on what I buy in there.

I am DCA'ing into SCHG and TM weekly with reoccurring buys. I also have a small position in NVDA that I'm not adding to.

Can any crypto heads explain why BTC has dropped? I had an alert to buy into CLSK for a swing back to $15, but the sector is looking trash.
I follow this guy too. I think Bitcoin will drop back into the mid to upper 40s before the next bull run. BTW: stay far away from meme coins on the Solana network unless you’re the one creating them. People are telling you to buy after they already got in three weeks earlier at a fraction of the price.

Keep in mind that the company is still looking at M&A prospects. They have enough money on the books to get Neutron to the pad, but with the gradual price increases, I'm curious to see if they do a surprise offering right before they purchase another company.

If an offering is announced, the stock price will drop a bit. I'm ok with that because I'll aggressively buy more, but this is something to be aware of when it comes to cost basis.

JPMorgan just capped junior bankers’ hours—at 80 per week
Two of Wall Street’s largest investment banks, JPMorgan and Bank of America, are cracking down on the industry’s infamous always-on culture, which has recently been linked to the death of a Green Beret turned investment banker.

Now, JPMorgan will limit junior banker hours to 80 per week in most cases, as confirmed by the company to Fortune—a first for the bank.
This is in addition to the company’s existing “pencils down” period from 6 p.m. Friday to noon Saturday and a guarantee of one full weekend off every three months.

I got a chance to chat with one of my Cybersecurity friends who works for a Fortune 500 company. I asked him about which technology companies he likes and not so keen on.

1. Loves Okta -Their focus on security and updates are fantastic
2. Likes Palo Alto - but too expensive to adopt additional products
3. Not impressed with Zscaler, poor support

He did mention this breach. He said that happened right before they were about to switch over to them. Their response and support won them over.
