An open secret in boxing is that you can't 'beat' the champ- you gotta kick his ass. It has to be decisive.
The fact that Wilder knocked Fury down twice- one in the final round- and when it came to the split decision everyone who doesn't pick up a check from Wilder was like "I don't know about that Champ..." says A LOT.

I remember when Chuck Liddell lost to Quinton Jackson and then kept losing I remember whites still backing him and giving him props. Both times he knocked him down I was jumping out my chair. But the first knockdown, was really a sucker punch, behind the head when Fury bobbed his head down, which was his fault anyways, but still was a behind the head hit.
Second knockdown, was deserved.
But see most people in fighting, you can determine what they were going to do by their gestures or mannerisms. But Fury was never doing the same thing. He would point his fist up, touch his face, jerk head twice. Then next two secs, hit his face, twitch head left, jerk head touch face.

One of the greatest fights I've ever seen. Even though he got knocked down twice, and got up not even stunned. I'm screaming to my son, Deontay got this, and dude never followed up and finished him after he got up. He was acting like he wanted to invite him over for tea and crumpets.
After a knockdown, you should be on mode "finish him". But Deontay, just to me, in too many instances, dropped the ball. I saw so many opps when Fury face was wide open after a combination and Deontay did nothing. I was saying wtf so many times. Smh

I only watched in sports and missed the knock downs but he was loosing to my eye. Fury wasn't whooping his ass, but he was racking up points and points matter.
I think Wilder did good. I felt he was gonna put him away early in the fight but he did not. I feel he has the ability to put Fury away. He needs to train harder. Did Wilder underestimate Fury, he probably did.

Deontay ran from Klitschko and now we know why because Klitscho dropped him! Fury is a weakened guy who failed to knock out sefer seferi and pieneta. To give you context those two boxers are not even top 20 european boxers. Whyte dropped Fury in sparring and he never got up, Wilder dropped Fury and he came back like its nothing.
Wilder never called Joshua's bluff, he made a verbal contract via the internet and when asked to furnish the written contract he went on youtube to cry and ignored counter offers. Wilder claims to have 50 million and yet he is out here accepting 2 million dollar offers, that doesn't make sense.

He fought Ortiz a top 5 skilled heavyweight and won. Then just fought the lineal champ in Fury. The only Haymon fight he fought recently was Ortiz. Parker didn't want the fight with Wilder and he would get his shit kicked in anyway. Chisora, PEDvetkin or any short stocky heavyweight will not beat Wilder. Ortiz gave him problems because he is a skilled boxer with an extensive amateur pedigree.

It takes 30 days to learn how to box. All there are jabs, right hand, hooks, and upper cuts. What else do the brother got to learn. Now, it will take a few months of work to balance that shit. But, it won't take years.
You missed my point. I have acknowledged all of this in previous posts. He needs more than a month to correct issues with his jab. But to be honest this fight was an anomaly. How many other heavyweights out there have the reach and know how to use their jab the way Fury does? The last one was Klitschko.
Once he heals up and before he signs to fight anyone else Wilder needs to stay in the gym and correct his flaws. If that means bringing in someone to help than so be it.
And if you saw the post fight interview the plan was to go to the body which he has success with when he did it. He said he was so mad and wanted to knock Fury out so he was headhunting.
Bullshit, distance, balance, pivoting, countering, slipping and parrying punches, and all other advanced shit. Not even counting learning how to relax your body while in that ring plus building stamina. And thats not even half of the shit.

I disagree, this was not a great fight. It was actually a bad fight until the 12th. The only thing that made this fight memorable is Fury getting up from the knockdown and recovering.

Yeah, I saw his interview and he fucked up. Nonetheless, his wildness is his help. That what's carrying him over. Again, he has some flaws, but everybody in boxing is not technical. That don't mean they can't win. Henry Armstrong wasn't technical, but he won three championships in three different weight classes. Arron Pryor wasn't technical but he was a cold mofo. He beat the shit out of Alexis Arguello and just about everybody else he fought. This dude did not lose until he was on a come back and was coked out. I do agree with you, however. Fury is akward, but even if Wilder don't improve his technique, if he tries to win instead of try to knock him out, he will knock him out early. Body work stop all that f**king moving.
