I would say that if this was in any other venue, D.L. would be over Monique. However, Detroit women rock with Monique. She has a dedicated fan base that stood by her hard. It's hard for me to think that she wouldn't be a ticket seller there.

This basically what Monique did.

They both at points in their comedy career where they have the pull to close a show. Whether or not DL believes he deserves to close over Monique, DL was willing to be tactful about it walk away from the deal.

Monique opted to perform and burn shit to the ground. She 100% believes she deserves to close over DL.

IMO she could have just walked away from the deal. Instead she decided to fight over it. I ain't saying whether it was right or wrong for her to do it that way, but I would have just walked away. It's just business.

It was definitely wrong.

She attacked that man and even mentioned his wife because he refused to go out before her instead of looking into it and finding out where the confusion came in.

Her beef, as stated, should be with the promoters and not other talent.

Know what? You're dead on. I just did a quick search, and I didn't know the D rocked with her like that. He should've just let her have this one, and both of them have a chat with the promoter afterwards.

We will never know cause Mo'Nique does what Mo'Nique does.

I just don't understand the ego Monique seems to have. She's been whining about not getting opportunities working with people, and wanting to get on back on stage for how long now? I would think she would just be happy alone at this point. Everybody knows DL, he's an OG in the comedy world now. I seen him last year in palm beach. Dude barely stopped going on the road during Covid. The fact that she felt so bad to "open" for him says a lot.
