In alot of states, they've started charging a "road use" or "highway" tax on EVs.. mainly to make up for the lost revenue from taxes charged at the pump

That is fair but you need to charge that same fee in a similar manner with gas cars. If I don't drive my gas car, I am not paying the road tax; however, with my EV I get hit with a $300 fee no matter what. I pay piece meal, not that big chunk of money every year

The EV industry is now a cesspool for political corruption. This is another scam they were doing in blue and red states. They are going to underbuild the infrastructure causing grid issues through the public utilities commission that the governor controls. One state the federales incarcerated a bunch of them setting up shell companies and other nonsense.

We need that $8 billion to build out ethanol, hydrogen, solar panels, and EV fuels. Not have 500,000 EV chargers

Definitely watch out for the public utilities commission in your state which is controlled by bottom feeding politician. I just saw a video where a guy committed suicide after the FEDS found all his shell companies where he was taking money. The speaker was also indicted and is going to spend 20 years in prison.

They will manufacture energy shortages to scare you away from EV or they put these garbage signs at public chargers to scare prospective customers away thinking there's a shortage of energy. The public utilities commission has a responsibility to ensure adequate supply is available to meet demand.

You can't trust Democrats or Republicans, progressive or conservative states.

That Silverado looking nice tho. But that price is serious. Looking like it gets 400 miles on range.
The problem is it's a GM electric product. They are having all kinds of recalls on the Blazer to the point where production actually stopped. The Hummer is a huge failure. I'd stay away from this Silverado for a few years. Let them work out all the potential issues.

Saw this brute at the Atlanta Auto show, beautiful...... Went to the top of my most wanted list, cold work.

Commenting on the thread topic, if electric is so hot, why are there more GAS stations opening up than electric stations?:rolleyes2::rolleyes2:

I posted an article in one of these threads on how Shell is converting stations with car washes into EV charging bays. Using their existing network.

If they all do that then perhaps we will see more adoption of EVs.

I don’t know if you mean the price is too low or too high because…

True, the regular one is too high for an american product. Ain't no way I'd pay even more for the EV version.
