As far as Rivian bleeding money, wasn't Tesla in a similar position up to the model 3? Stock price isn't necessarily about how the companies are actually performing. If that were the case, Tesla never hits their all time high. Future performance is also a factor. The R2s are what people will be paying attention to next year.
I'm just saying that I don't know anyone Black has received any negative communication or vandalism because he/she is driving a Tesla. Keep in mind that it's only CACs doing that shit and they are choosing soft targets.
Rivian doesn't compare to Tesla as a business. They don't have the scale and they don't produce their own batteries. The biggest expense of EV manufacturing is the batteries. Tesla makes the majority of their batteries while Rivian doesn't make any. They source their batteries from South Korean companies and talking with China for LFP batteries. Tesla also consistently innovates their manufacturing. They build their own factories and improving their design. They have only refurbished 1 factory(Fremont) and that is their lowest producing factory. All of Rivian's factories are old refurbished ones. Rivian does not make or sell cars outside of the US. Tesla makes and sells vehicles in the US, Europe, China and looking to expand to India.
Most of all, Tesla has multiple products. Their Megapacks have huge profit margins and they are selling faster than they can make them. Their FSD is crazy and they will have Robotaxis in the US this year. They are working on an Optimus AI robot that is improving and might be the most profitable product ever made.
Your mind might be made about Tesla stock and there are multiple posters on here talking shit, but I assure you that in the not too distant future, Tesla stock/option will be the best investment that you have made or missed.

Maybe he has so many shares in Tesla he feels the need to defend Elon regardless of his actions. If his advice was really about making people money, why not advice people to short Tesla if you really feel they'll continue to fall. Or take a long position if you believe they'll bounce back. Maybe he did and i missed it. I could get behind the idea that Tesla is falling like the rest of the market due to Trump's actions. However, unlike other companies Elon is actually causing issues with Tesla leading to mass trade in ,new EV customers choosing other brands and selling of the company stock. BYD seems to be an international competitor and Elon is given market to Rivian here. Its not entirely macro factors hurting Tesla.

I am not that concerned with Elon's politics just as i'm not that concerned about Bill Gates, Jensen Huang, Anthony Noto, Alex Karp or any of the other CEOs of good businesses. I have consistently maintained that I believe that the mass majority of CACs are racist.
