Maybe he has so many shares in Tesla he feels the need to defend Elon regardless of his actions. If his advice was really about making people money, why not advice people to short Tesla if you really feel they'll continue to fall. Or take a long position if you believe they'll bounce back. Maybe he did and i missed it. I could get behind the idea that Tesla is falling like the rest of the market due to Trump's actions. However, unlike other companies Elon is actually causing issues with Tesla leading to mass trade in ,new EV customers choosing other brands and selling of the company stock. BYD seems to be an international competitor and Elon is given market to Rivian here. Its not entirely macro factors hurting Tesla.

I don't think him leaving would help much. Unless he sold his shares too. If he still held shares,people would still feel like Elon is profiting and still has major influence due to his voting power from the shares. I don't believe you can force anyone to sell shares.Then again, maybe the public would be cool with the small win.

Even if he stepped down as CEO, it wouldn't surprise me if stayed on the board of directors ( i think he is).

Most Tesla owners I’ve come across feel that the cars are still great but they’re ran by an idiot now. Some can separate the two while others can’t.

The moment Elon leaves, the company would heal instantly just off the strength of the product.

Him leaving is the best thing for Tesla at this point.

I was all set for my next vehicle to be a self driving vehicle but all the research I've done (aka watch MKBHD) shows that Tesla is the best at that. Only vehicle that can go from garage to whatever location. All the others are only good on the highway.

I have the 2024 Cadillac LYRIQ (EV) I use Super cruise control coming from work on the highway. I love it.. I can set to 65mph it goes smooth round curves and if someone jumps in front of me the LYRIQ will search for an opening and change lanes automatically

Rivian doesn't compare to Tesla as a business. They don't have the scale and they don't produce their own batteries. The biggest expense of EV manufacturing is the batteries. Tesla makes the majority of their batteries while Rivian doesn't make any. They source their batteries from South Korean companies and talking with China for LFP batteries. Tesla also consistently innovates their manufacturing. They build their own factories and improving their design. They have only refurbished 1 factory(Fremont) and that is their lowest producing factory. All of Rivian's factories are old refurbished ones. Rivian does not make or sell cars outside of the US. Tesla makes and sells vehicles in the US, Europe, China and looking to expand to India.


Most of all, Tesla has multiple products. Their Megapacks have huge profit margins and they are selling faster than they can make them. Their FSD is crazy and they will have Robotaxis in the US this year. They are working on an Optimus AI robot that is improving and might be the most profitable product ever made.


Your mind might be made about Tesla stock and there are multiple posters on here talking shit, but I assure you that in the not too distant future, Tesla stock/option will be the best investment that you have made or missed.

The stock isn't separated by department or businesses division.wasn’t the energy part of Tesla already failing? FSD is not close to what we were sold. I wouldn't use it 5 years ago and i still wouldn't use it today. Where is the 2nd gen roster? What happened with the solar roof? The first appearance of the Tesla bots people doubted they were truly autonomous and seemed to controlled. How much longer will the Cyber trucks last?

Alot of what you are saying is inaccurate. Tesla Investors are not pissed off. We recently voted for Elon to get a massive pay package reincorporate in Texas. We usually always vote with the board recommendations. Current data is showing that Retail buying of Tesla stock is at an all time high. Most of the people refusing to buy a Tesla because of Elon, weren't going to buy one anyway. Now there are groups of people that are more interested in Teslas because of Elon and the people complaining about him.
Here are some facts....The legacy model Tesla Model Y inventory is depleted. Sales of the new Model Y are way up in China. This quarter the stock is very low due to the Model Y refresh and negative sentiment. This is all noise. The signal is the refreshed Model Y reports have been good, sales are up in China, Tesla Mega Pack production is increasing, Paperwork is being filed for Robotaxi's in California, Elon, Tesla's head designer, and execs are all communicating confidence that Robotaxis will be in a city by June of this year, reports of FSD in China has been great, the Austin Gigafactory is expanding. All of this is signal. Tesla's vehicle manufacturing business will keep expanding but will be a small percentage of Tesla's income. Yall hardheaded mfers are way too stuck on CAC politics and going to miss the opportunity. All of this BS is creating a discount to buy more stock. Stop arguing with me and buy. Tesla is the new Apple/Amazon/Microsoft/Nvidia. You don't have to like the CEO to make money off the stock. Don't miss the opportunity.

I already told you why Rivian will fail. Remember when the Ford Lightning Truck was supposed to be the shit? Remember when the Ford Mach E was supposed to be the shit? Both of those were established models with a faithful customer base. Rivian's are nice, but they won't make it unless they can produce their own batteries and scale.

You are tripping about Tesla's Energy business failing. Their Energy business is killing it. Megapacks are a better product than their vehicles. Much larger margins and they can not keep up with demand. Solar roofs got tabled because they dont generate enough profit compared to their other products. I have FSD and I've rode in Waymos. FSD is the shit. It has consistantly improved and I use it everyday. The Chinese company you are talking about is BYD. They aren't allowed to sell in the US. They are subsidized by the Chinese government and most of their vehicles are hybrids.

What has happened to sales of Tesla vehicles?​

There has been a marked decrease in sales in Europe and elsewhere. According to data from Business Insider, the business trade news outlet, in February, sales were 76 percent lower in Germany than they were the previous year even though overall sales of electric vehicles were 31 percent higher. Sales in Germany also fell in January following Musk’s endorsement of the far-right AfD party. In Norway, Denmark and Sweden, sales fell 40 percent year on year in February and dropped by 26 percent in France. The company has also been suffering from organised boycott campaigns in the United Kingdom and Portugal.

Further east, Tesla sales plummeted by nearly 50 percent, year on year, in China in February and by a massive 71 percent in Australia.

The main reason for these falls in sales is increased competition from traditional automakers as well as new, up-and-coming electric vehicle companies, particularly in China, where automaker BYD reported a 90 percent rise in sales in February.

China is Tesla’s second-largest market but government policies there are increasingly favouring domestic manufacturers.

Tesla has repeatedly cut vehicle prices in a bid to maintain demand in countries including the US and China. While this strategy has helped to boost short-term sales, experts say, it has also reduced overall earnings, raising concerns among investors about long-term profitability.

According to Lee, another major issue weighing on investors’ minds is Tesla’s failure to deliver innovations in self-driving technology and other key areas such as robotics.

“Investors are looking for progress on self-driving, which keeps getting put off, and other disappointments in robotics weigh on investor sentiment,” he said.
