They have to be forgetting because they keep implying Dany inherited the mad kings ways when the mad king was created by the three eyed raven in an attempt to stop the long night. Where as Dany is just a young ruler that makes bad decisions with an entitlement complex who keeps suffering losses of dragons and close friends and advisors.
