Greedy fucks getting that business. Fools so greedy that they fail to fucking adapt until it's too late and then they left scrambling. When we first cut the cord 13 years ago, everyone thought we were crazy. What folks are missing is there were no fucking netflix originals back then. Netflix built itself up with ESTABLISHED content.

What attracted us was low cost for that ESTABLISHED content without ads. We weren't paying a premium for some shit that may or may not be good, which is what streaming has become. Now with ads. :smh:

Legacy media needs to fall back and realize they can't compete with Amazon, Apple, and netflix. Sooner or later, netflix might have to realize its fate when compared to the other two. This some blockbuster/blackberry shit we are witnessing.

Bill Maher can't do his show because dry ass writers on strike(point being if he do the show it proves shit goes on without them), but how many YouTube shows with the same subject matter doing numbers without a strike getting in the way while keeping sponsors happy? Lesson in there for legacy media.

This thread will be fun to bump in a few years.

Well, they supposedly are and rightfully so. This ain't where they make their bread. Well, Apple and Amazon at least, but Netflix still has the advantage over legacy because they were early. It's important to note that ALL streamers trail YouTube as far as being on TVs in homes. Sleeping giant shit right there.

That's why legacy splitting from Apple, Amazon, and Netflix would be smart. Notice folks ain't about to say how much Apple or Amazon lost because of this strike. Some folks so caught up in the now they can't understand why others are thinking 5-10 years out.

And this is where the shit gets crazy. Because on their side of the negotiating table are a bunch of other companies who want WB to fail miserably. Other companies who may not have taken a hit like them or can endure a hit like them who may see waiting out a bit longer as a good thing to eliminate post strike competition. This whole thing is fucking nuts.
