Season 1 just puts all the pieces in place for the Civil War in Season 2
A few things I can appreciate about this episode. I like the fact that it showed Black men in armor fighting ie House Velaryon. I don't like that Leanor is a sword swallower but he did plan the winning battle.
You cant satisfy everyone. That was a great episode. You still have dumbass people who think this universe is about the Starks and Lanisters.
Some people look at this like some reality show were everyone has a backstory and a little plot. My question is why someone wants to know if the Crab King got grey scale from an unclean woman in fleabottom?
I mean thats good info if you plan on tricking in fleabottom but it dont have shit to do with the main story. The point is the Crab King had to be offed or the kingdom would suffer. Fuck his bad case of medieval syphilis. Daemon cured it by chopping off half his body. How considerate of Daemon.

She's just showing herself to be a spoiled brat. But that's poor character development and bad writing.
So far, this show is turning out to be more like Frozen 2
It's going to be successful wholly and completely due to the success of its predecessor rather than its own capabilities.
A lot of potential, but underwhelming in the end.
Just two things they could have done differently in this show to completely change how we feel about it:
Had Rhaenyra snatched the sword from old boy and slayed Pumba herself. SURE no one else would have known her bad-assness but Ser Cristan Cole,.but WE would have seen it. I'm not talking about being a badass on a dragon I'm talking about being a badass.
And show the fight between Daemon and Mr. Crabs.
Fuck man. I should not have better character development ideas than fucking professionals. I know I'm an author, but damn. These are fucking professionals
Is the 2nd episode better? I hear LOTR is a better show
LOTR is a lot of dialogue and lore so I dont think it will be as popular as Game of thrones. LOTR is on that girl power bullshit though.

I'm going to agree with those who said the quick demise of Crabfeeder was definitely unexpected given all the build up they gave in both scenes and dialog. To be fair, he's only mentioned briefly in the source material and he dies pretty much the way the episode showed it but still kinda disappointing. Based on what we were shown I'm guessing they did film some of the battle between the Prince Daemon and Crabby, but it got cut either because it wasn't up to standard or they decided something else was more important to show.
I think the point they wanted to hit us over the head with in this episode is that Viserys is not just a weak king, but also a bad leader. He literally worries about the wrong things almost all the time. He's got good advisors but rarely takes there advice.
They also wanted us to see that Rhaenarys is basically a more chill version of Prince Daemon; Strong, independent, but without being overly petty.
Just waiting for Queen Alicent to eventually say fuck it, I'm going for my seed over this frendship.
