And it somewhat became true cuz the actor who played the son got in trouble in real life.

Woke Up Dead
2009
5/10
This is a horror/comedy I watched last night on tubi. I mainly watched it cuz Krysten Ritter co-stars and I have been going thru her film catalog every now and then.
I had looked it up and this was originally a webisode series on the Crackle app. They eventually put all the 1st season episodes together to make one movie for its DVD release. It only had on season of 22 episodes that ran for about 3 to 7 minutes each.
It’s mainly a comedy with tongue in cheek humor, nothing to have you LOL.
For the Thirsty, Krysten’s character has her bouncing around like a stereotypical, bubbly “Valley Girl” White chick. She isn’t doing the moody “Jessica Jones” character. Her outfits are modest but cute.
As pointed out, this originally was a series, they left it off for a 2nd season but there isn’t one.
Synopsis
A young man documents the events around his flatmate apparently becoming one of the undead when he wakes up with no heartbeat.

Thanks for the review.
Speaking of Ritter’s catalogue, did you ever happen to see this series from just over 10 years ago?
I caught bits and pieces of it and found it funny / amusing.
Might go and look for old episodes of it online in the future.

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
1975
8.5/10
I watched this last night on Netflix.
This is the classic film that put Jack Nicholson on the map and earned him first Academy Award for Best Actor. His performance in this flick shows him at the top his game.
The film mainly deals with how mental illness treatment was conducted during the time period this film was made. It touched on the political and societal views on the issues also.
Jack’s most powerful scene is when they take him in for electro shock therapy. It plays out like an execution.
One surprising thing about this film are the co-stars. It’s basically an All-Star cast of recognizable actors from famous and well known 1970s thru 1990s TV/Movie productions. Everyone’s performance of displaying mental illness in various forms along with the characters interacting with each other is highly well done.
Netflix plans on removing the film after February 29, 2024
Synopsis
When Randle Patrick McMurphy (Jack Nicholson) gets transferred for evaluation from a prison farm to a mental institution, he assumes it will be a less restrictive environment. But the martinet Nurse Ratched (Louise Fletcher) runs the psychiatric ward with an iron fist, keeping her patients cowed through abuse, medication and sessions of electroconvulsive therapy. The battle of wills between the rebellious McMurphy and the inflexible Ratched soon affects all the ward's patients.
