yeah, basically. it just boils down to which two. sawyer and jack?

What about Hurley? He seems to be the one most in tune with the island. He's the only one that can see and hear Jacob after he died and who's given him tasks. Not too sure if he can communicate with the dead though, that could have been Jacob pretending to be Charlie and then Isabella since we know MIB can appear as other people.

Also wanted to point out, wasn't Isabella wearing modern clothes?

Hurley seems a little too obvious, so far they've purposely gone the unobvious route in their plot devices

He does seem to obvious. That character really grew on me.Hes 1 of my favorites now.Hard to believe they didn't write that character till after he auditioned because they liked him so much.

If hurley will be anything it would be a replacement for Richard. Thinking about it I can't see Richard living to the end. In a way he deserves to die- to rest.

We have Locke as the MIB's replacement- though we never seen how that occurred.
Though I'm disappointed with what happened to the Locke character- he's supposed to be dead, but I hope he can be redeemed.

How can Jacob give someone eternal life but can't prevent himself from getting stabbed by Ben? The fuck going on here?

I guess it would be part of the loophole that Flocke was talking about. I guess you have to stab Jacob with his own knife, and Flocke cant be the one to do it.

Notice whenever someone tries to kill Jacob or Flocke, they use that same knife.

Eternal life doesn't mean invincibility. A vampire can live (undead) forever, yet can be killed.

Jacob probably doesn't grow old (like Richard) but can be killed.

Jacob cursed the MIB. Made him the smoke monster told him it was so he could protect the island. MIB didnt know jacob ment it would be forever. MIB is pissed at jacob cause he wont let him leave now. MIB makes deal with jacob saying that people are naturally gonna be evil, so why bring them to this island so I could just fuck em up? Jacob makes wager with MIB says people given choice will choose good. MIB dont wanna hear than shit. Kill jacob and I can get the hell off this island. Flocke will get off the island. Pandoras box will be released and I quote jacob "it only ends once." causing a reset (flashsideways) where the oceanic people will live out their natural personalities instead of their holier than thou ones they have on the island. JUST MY THEORY

I disagree, why would Jacob need anyone to protect the island?

After this episode i'm a little confused. If we are to believe that Jacob represents Good and MIB evil. I'm not sure about any of that by the way:rolleyes:. Why would Jacob ever enlist Ben in the first place, why would Richard follow Ben so blindly and faithfully for as long as he did? Ben did a lot of evil shit, and not always for the good of the island, (killing Locke, revenge on Widmore,) it just seemed like he was more power hungry and wanted to be the man, more then he wanted to protect the island. Remember in earlier seasons every one seemed terrified of Jacob, I remember Ben didn't even want to enter the house that supposededly Jacob lived because he was so afraid? If he is the embodiement of Goodness why were they so afraid of him?

There were plenty of references to MIB as the devil during this last episode and it just seems too easy to go along with that thinking.

On another note what does Widmore have to do with the island, is he a representative for Jacob? Or is he in it for his own personal gain because he knows what magic the island represents? Why would MIB care to kill Widmore? If Widmore just wants the island why would MIB care, doesn't he just want to get the fuck off the island anyway?

The more questions this show answers the more questions I seem to have?

I wouldn't say he's the most in tune with the island. He seems to be the most in tune with Jacob though. I just think him being a little crazy makes him more open minded about things and he can accept that dead people are talking to him. Where as Jack or Kate would look at things with a more rational mind and be a lot more skeptical.

I think Jacob could definitely protect himself look at how he layed the smack down on Richards ass. I think like some one else mentioned he was truly hoping that Ben would not stab him even up until the knive went in he still had hope that Ben would not do it.

He definitely let himself get stabbed.

Has anyone else noted that MIB and Flocke seem to have two different personalities?

MIB from the 19th century is crazed with anger while Flocke has a more compassionate approach. Seems like it should be the other way around, if anything.

Yeah I noticed that too. It seems like the 19th century MIB is so angry because it seems early on is his being on the island. While Flocke has been at it forever. Also he's manipulating, and working people to gett them to do what he wants so he can't come off as too angry, and risk turning those people away.

yeah its all a part of the game, i garuntee that he will show his true nature within the last 3 episodes

I have a feeling that the sideways univers, is a result of what happens if he leaves the island

the 4th to last episode will probably be the most important.
spoiler below, press the quote button to see it.

[hide]it will feature no regular cast members. it will explain who jacob and mib really are, their past, their family, and tell us about the smoke monster.[/hide]

Got this off Facebook, thought it was interesting:

"I just realized how the season is going to end! The central theme, based upon my recent post about the parallel with the book Jacob the Liar, is whether or not redemption and eternal life is real or just a made up lie. In fact, the answer lies in faith, or in what one really believes to be true. The ending will be different for each of the Losties. For those who believe redemption is real, their ending will be the sideways ending. They will be absolved and redeemed. For those who believe it's a crock, who don't have faith, their ending will be the one where they are stuck on the island."

This is bullshit. All of the main characters exist in the sideways reality, and some past dead characters even came back. Makes no sense.

just curious...did you think Walt will have anything to do with the last few episodes..remember when Locke told his pops that they both know he's special and then they showed a bird crashing into the window..I believe he and Claire's baby were the only ones that they showed actually aging..can't rememeber about Son's child...

All of the main characters would have to exist in order for it to be a reality sideways or not. We have an omniscent point of view. The individual characters don't

Ive just decided fuck Jacob. Hes been a lying, manipulative son of bitch so far. MIB is killing people left and right, but I can respect it, because hes real and upfront about his shit.

Until Jacob explains his angle, fuck him, and his candidacy for replacement.
