What settings? Seems the same. This is UI 4.1, the Note 20 was just 4.0.

I'm not seeing much of a difference in settings of the phone. You mean in the launcher?

My 20 doesn't have Themes, Brightness toggle different, are just a few things I've noticed in the framework

Tmo is giving me $400 for my old ass S8+. Wife is getting the 13 Pro Max to "send better quality videos" to her family members...

#whatever.

But yeah I gotta jump on that 22 Ultra....this S10+ is messing up major right now AND my USB port is fried. Wireless charging only

It's why I had to get rid of mine. Charging port went bad, took it to a repair place, they changed it and every time I plug it in, I have to select what I want the charging port to do. It's most likely software, will see after I wipe it, but that's Samsung's prob now.

I've always had a Themes tab, and brightness are the subtle changes of 4.0 to 4.1 I'd think.
Like when the UI went from 3.0 to 4.0

The battery life is excellent & the smoothness of the screen I just love. They changed up a lot in the framework it though. I have a Note 20 Ultra & the settings are different.

Any of you know how to stop these "brief pop up" notifications?

I don't want to stop a notification. Just annoying, for some time now, you typing in one app, and the tiny pop up, as I'm clicking maybe an address bar, this pop up from an app like Telegram or whatever, then it would switch to that app while I was doing something else.

If I turn it off, it stops all notifications. Like why can't you stop pop-ups of notifications. I just want it to 'nest' at the top. Not these pop-ups. Been this way a few years. And it's like it doesn't bother anyone else in Android that it would of been addressed?

I've looked in the past. Not sure if there's a new way.

Settings, then notifications, brief popup settings

Telegram did me the same way with a contact, texts too

Things were definitely setup different on the S22 Ultra

Thanks. I looked and turned it off for all apps

So now it pops up a larger pop up window. This is what I think I saw in the past.

And you can't stop pop ups for notifications.
I just want them to go to the top and I'll look at them when I want. But even typing this now, I've had large pop-ups from Instagram, Telegram.

Okay, so far the best upgrade is the 10x zoom, the phone stays cool after 20 minutes of gaming & the battery life.

If someone has an S21 Ultra, don't upgrade, even maybe a Fold 3.

Note 10 or 20. Yes, upgrade cause it's a different experience altogether & worth it with the discounts.

WiFi6 is also faster on here than the iPhone 13 pro max & Note 20 Ultra (I have an Orbi AX6000 with Gigibit down coming in)

Speedtest was two rooms away on same floor. I can get 810-825 in the same room with one of the satellites on the main floor consistently.

My day two battery life with screenshots.

I just plugged my phone up with 5% at 10:58AM & I also have a 25 & 45 Samsung charging block.

Yesterday it took 49 minutes to charge from 8% with the 25w, using the 45w today. I also have an Aohi 65w charger. (won't make a difference)

I then went into the app when the big square came up, turned it off from there..

Turn off floating notifications?

Bruh thank you so much!

For years this shit annoyed me, I just ignored it. Now I see each app had their own pop up notification turned on.

I had to turn it off for WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram and so on. They had their own "high priority" notification and pop-over.

Like wtf. Lol.

They must of added persistent type notifications

Yes. It wasn't that. It was in each app itself. They override the system. It's crazy.

I hated also, I'm driving, have Waze going, wife sitting next to me and I'm getting messages popping up. Most are apps, but we can't be having any "accidents".

So my ass had to give some "friends" names of apps.
Got a chick named in my Telegram, another named Instagram and so on. Lol.

Which option was it?

@michigantoga said it.
Each app has its own settings that overrides the system pop-ups.

So when you see Instagram send a pop-up, you can go into it and look at the settings of the app itself. Not the whole Android settings of the phone.

I hated driving and a popup saying some wild shit. Luckily no one saw, but still, I got tired of naming chicks guy names and forgetting who is who. App names was ingenious. Told my other boy about that and saved his damn life.

45w charger is a waste. Saves 4 minutes & cable readout was 28w. The 25w charger charged at 25w. Both are Samsung. I think there is something inside the phone that limits it from coming in too high.

Are you charging wirelessly or direct to the phone?

It's been that way for a while, probably going back to the Note 10. The 45W charger only makes a difference if your battery level is very low and you have a small amount of time to charge. Outside of that, there never was a significant difference in charging times.

It is the phone typically.

If you have other devices that it can charge, like a tablet, maybe you would see the difference in speed.

But the tech in the phone is going to limit that I'd think.

Happy I got the 45 for free. Tech support gave me another $50 credit because I ordered the wrong case and they didn't want to take it back, so gave me bread to order the other. I changed my mind and bought the 65W last night from them. All free. So whatever, I didn't pay for them.

Direct, it's something with Samsung 45w brick.. Not good

I HATE having the same phone everyone else has, and I really want a keyboard, but I don't think my blackberry is going to last long so I ordered this in the blue and I accidentally chose the 25w instead of 45w charger, but I guess it doesn't matter.

This is the charger I currently use because it has a low profile, doesn't stick out from the wall next to my bed, and my current phone charges fine. However my phone has a boost mode, so when I connected it I can press boost and it will charge extra fast for the first 50%.

They also make a 90w charger, tho the max individual port is 60w, but it's a bit thicker than the one above. It would still be slimmer than a regular charger tho.

The cable I use has the 90 degree usb c port, but the other end us regular usb. I figure this would put less stress on the usb c port and the cable and it makes the phone more comfortable to hold if I'm using it as it charges. I'd need to get a new cable to use the 60 w port as I'd need usb c on both ends. I currently just use the 18 watt usb a to usb c on the charger I have, the usbc to usbc would be 30 watts. I'm going to get this cable now to see if I notice a big difference, and then wait until I get the new phone in April to decide if I'm going to change the charger. I didn't realized the cables were also rated as to whether or not they could fast charge.

It will charge much faster with a different brick. Like a 65w, I have one & I will try it out tomorrow, but @TimRock already said his 65w is faster.

I just think Samsung 45w is a dud. Now they're 25w wireless portable charger I have as well, it's great! Actually it works good on everything,

This the 65w charger I have. The cable that came with it, I used when I testing the 45w brick..
