I already stated that Netflix being unhappy can't be proven or disproven. So there will never be a source. You really expect a Netflix executive to say "hey, Discovery sucks, but please sign up for Netflix and quote me on that"

Funny, those same white guys had no problem with Voyager nor DS9. Lol. And you know it is more than just them being the lead. They hate anything that looks like a "SJW" to them.

Both shows have/had straight white male captains that are not weaklings, both shows have strong female characters, and both shows have a ton of gay shit in them. There is more than enough of a "SJW agend" as they call it in the Orville for them to absolutely hate the show. The difference is not sonequa martin-green. The difference is one show is modelled after TNG and the other is not.

This show and Discovery are both on CBS's streaming service CBS All Access in the US (and in Canada I think). Internationally, Discovery is on Netflix and Picard is on Prime video.

Domestically, you definitely need CBS All access, internationally I believe they just need a prime membership.

I'm not certain if CBS all access is available everywhere, which could be the reason that they are selling the international rights to other streaming services.

It wasn't bad, but it doesn't look like it is going to be a positive view of the future, examining various aspects of humanity and tackling controversial topics. Basically just an action show set in the Star Trek universe.

They could have undone the Kelvin timeline by saying the Romulan star never exploded, but unfortunately they didn't.

The young tag alongs has a Blade 3 feel that I don't like.

More crying.

I want to get a better look at the new starfleet uniforms.

Overall, it could develop into a decent series. It could still go either way. I am very happy that the first episode wasn't terrible. Lol.

Yeah it's not the type of trek I want. The basic story line make a sense but no trek has felt like trek since 2005 smh and that sucks. I thought this show would but it's early.

One thing that I feel is a mistake is the incredibly forced F bombs.

Star Trek has inspired so many people to become engineers, doctors, military officers, etc. And saying "fuck" gratuitously may cause some parents to not let their children watch the show.

I'm hoping they explain why there have now been Romulans in the show that look like Romulans from classic Star Trek as well as Romulans that look like humans with pointed ears and "angry" eyebrows.
