Same thing I said man. I knew they were going to do it just didn't think it would be Ashley... plus she's 12 on the show. They're pushing this shit on our youngjns man which is fucked up.

Sickening.
I'm really getting livid.

Some youtube dude just wanted to dissecting Bel-Air never having seen it

Yes, There are so many new, fresh, never told before stories that Hollywood is completely ignoring to reboot seemingly everything.

However, there a significant difference IMO to reboot (Hollywood's version) and Re-Do. Bel-Air is an example of a RE-DO.

Check it. The Late Great Luther Vandross re-made a lot of hits and made them his own. He took Stevie Wonder's 'Creep' and made it his and made it a hit again. He changed it, put his spin on it and transformed it. This is what Bel-Air is doing with Fresh Prince and through the first 5 episodes I like the road it diverged to.

This show is great. Some of y’all miserable and can’t be pleased…some of y’all just don’t like that a show you grew up on got a makeover….some of y’all just don’t like shit lol.

This shit is great. There was only one way for this show to succeed and that was for them to do exactly what they did. Made a completely opposite show with a more serious tone and I’m for it. I also like deep down it’s still fresh prince….but it’s still nothing like the OG if that make sense.

Show isn’t great or excellently done, they didn’t make it completely opposite because they kept some characters kind of the same while turning other characters into something totally different. The Geoffrey and Carlton characters are just to far out, i don‘t know what Geoffrey is supppsed to be and it’s almost like him and Phil are on the same level when they interact, with the Carlton character is like they said what if we take the episode where he took drugs by mistake and say he got hooked on them and base his character off that. In what world do you move in with your cousin find out some girl you met is his ex-girlfriend and you still go after her knowing he still loves her, the girl has a relationship with the family as Carlton’s girlfriend so now is he supposed to show up as Will’s girl?

Ashley being gay was referenced in episode 3 I believe. It's ridiculous how they force this on kids. These directors and producers need to stop letting the gays dictate their work. Why couldn't the other girl be gay too? Had to be the black girl only.

This and Ashley being gay are my only gripes. Other than that, the show is interesting.

And now I see the bullshit in episode five… Fags just can’t let it go.
They give us the chance to tell positive black stories, in exchange to push their rampant faggotry in the name of “inclusion.”

It’s the trade off unfortunately.

Trust me, not happy about it either.

When I say opposite I mean transitioning it to a drama as opposed to slapstick comedy. It’s really well done. We all love Fresh Prince but it worked for the era and time it was in. If that came out in 2022 y’all would be calling it coon shit and writing it off lol. I think this show does it justice how they rebooted it.

I completely agree. Bel-Air is great for the era we are in now (although I still wish they didn't force the Ashley stuff). At this point, that show (along with another recent great discovery, 1883) is must see TV.

Nah there was nothing coon-ish about the original Fresh Prince because it was a comedy but also discussEd serious matters. If 2 networks came out with reboots one following the original and the other being Bel-Aire the one following the original would be better because it would be what the fans of Fresh Prince were expecting, this “opposite“ take on the original has some people laughing and asking wtf is this shit, I think even the foul language that’s used constantly in this show throws people off

I wouldn't call it cooning but people for sure would say Will was "bucking" at times on that show.

And I disagree. What's the point of rebooting a comedy version? We've seen it already. That's where Hollywood fails more times than not. Giving us something we've seen before and it not being better or as good. Its where Coming 2 America failed. Its where a lot of films fail.

I'm not familiar with people knocking this show. Most reviews and people I've heard who have seen it like it.

Yeah its not even necessary to force the Ashley thing. I hate that shows feel the need to have to do that.

And man I've never seen 1883 or that show it spins off from...I might have to get on it I keep hearing good shit about it.
