Don't be afraid of death if they start talking crazy doing a bunch of medical procedures to you.

Sometimes you to face the grim reaper. Hospice is a viable option, don't let them put pig hearts into you.

Thanks for sharing. Hoping for a good surgery and speedy recovery. I've been dealing with prostate issues for almost 20 years. It gets slowly worse the older I get. All of your symptoms can also just be a prostate infection so gents please get checked. The symptoms can resemble an STD/STI as well so don't be afraid and go get yourselves checked. I now do my PSA yearly. Thanks again for sharing and keep the board updated please. I don't post but been on this board so long I don't even remember anyone anymore LOL. Best wishes!

Update: I had my appointment with the urologist at Hopkins yesterday. He looked at the MRI and the second PSA chart that I had and said that, while my 4.2 PSA might be concerning if I was 51 or 61, at 81 it's not unusual. He recommended that I enjoy my life and saw no major reason why I should not live to be 100, albeit with a few aches and pains along the way. He said I should keep getting the PSA blood test annually and, if it goes up to 6.5 or above, come back and see him. He saw no reason for a biopsy (thank God).

My stress level is now at zero and I treated myself to a honey bacon on croissant sandwich at Dunkin.

I was diagnosed with stage 2 prostate cancer in April of 2023. I had my prostate removed in August of the same year. Surgery went well. They were able to spare the nerves, so the chances of achieving a "full" erection again were good. I say full, because although I get aroused, the erections were not "take her to pound town" erections. Prior to the surgery they prescribed cialis because they wanted me functioning at an optimal level to ensure a full recovery. It's been a hit and miss because mentally it fucks you up. I'm not going to sugar coat it. According to the doctors I am ahead of the curve as far as recovery goes but mentally I was standing in my own way. I have an excellent support system. (it is definitely needed) I ended up taking the shot to help. It was definitely a boost to the mental. It has helped tremendously. I'm 52 and I had never had issues with "showing up for work". So when all this happened it was crazy. The road to recovery varies from person to person. We are talking three months to three years. I have been geeting it in lately, but I look forward to doing it again with no assistance. I have to add, I'm happy to be alive. I'm more than grateful for that.

Diagnosed with prostate cancer April 2024 and having surgery on July 1.
The surgery will be a RALP (Robotic-assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy)
Complete removal of the prostate.
As black men, this can be a touchy subject.
Fortunately, we can hide behind our screen names to discuss.
A few of my family members know about it, but for the most part, I have been dealing with it with the wife and kids.
My PSA was a 12.4 (below 4 is normal)
If anyone, has questions, I will try to answer them the best I can.
Keep a brother in y'all thoughts!!
Just got back to this forum after years .... i would have mentioned www.thetruthbehindcancerstore.com for the GcMAF products and hydrogen water

Good afternoon fellas.
Sorry for no posting, but I've been without power for 4 days.
That and dealing with this surgery recovery has been tough.
Anywho, all is well here.
Had a follow up with the doctor today.
All the cancer was in the prostate which was removed.
They put some dye in the catheter to see if all the stitches held up.
They did.
Catheter was removed.
This was probably the most painful out of everything I had done.
Now I'm on the road to a full recovery

I thought I was going to heaven at some car dealership. My vision slowly started to diminish. Luckily I got home just in time.

I figured out what I did wrong a couple days later trying to retrace.
