People in the private sector have to do this when an auditor and private equity comes in. Hell, at my tech company we've had to do it after reorgs.

Why is it beneath government workers? The same people who never showed even a fraction of outrage, or mobilization, when it happened to the rest of us despite them being in safe jobs for decades?:puzzled:
The one main difference is that everyone is on the same page when things like that are implemented in the private sector. In this case, you don't know who has authority to dictate these procedures. Do you follow DOGE instructions, your, supervisors and/or your union rep who may be giving you contradicting orders to Doge?

The other issue... some followed Doge orders on certain things only to realize they shouldn't have because the orders were wrong, but because they signed some paperwork, they gave up some of their rights.

Finally, if all of this is truly wrong, good luck trying to sue for compensation. At least you always have some shot of suing private companies and at least getting a settlement. This administration ain't settling shit.

A lot folks cried about hating Dems for having an elitist mentality. Here is the actual President of the United States saying fuck you to middle class workers worried about their jobs.

I wonder if the smoke for Trump will be the same?

Shit man, is DOGE even legal? they aren't responding to FOIA requests...if they are legal and are an actual federal agency, shouldn't the chairman of the agency be confirmed by the senate (or the house, not sure)?...Trump said Elon is not the head of DOGE...if not Elon, then who?

From the article I posted above

"The American Federation of Government Employees, the largest federal union, has said the OPM email is “unlawful” as it circumvents agencies’ authority and doesn’t “comport with OPM’s own regulations and guidance.”

It appears that employees that have been productive don’t have anything to worry about. Employees that can’t come up with a list of accomplishments to justify their pay certainly should be concerned. The mass majority of those effected will be CACs btw…

Personally, I’m more concerned with Oakland and San Francisco Unified School Districts making cuts including laying off teachers, closing schools, and resources for our kids. I’m also more concerned with Oakland being over 130 million in the hole. Laying off over 100 employees, ending funding for non profits, closing Fire Stations, and crime prevention programs.

For those interested in protesting Elon in the Bay Area. Here are some pictures of the people you will be protesting with:

Do you know how uninformed the statement about productivity sounds? Apartheid Elon Nazi trans Drumpf told Federal employees not to work for an entire pay period. Then proceeded to ask them to justify their job actions within the past weeks. It's all a setup. Nevermind how ridiculously wasteful it is to have employees sitting at home and still getting paid.

Asking air traffic controllers what they did last week? Smh.

Air traffic controllers received OPM’s “what did you do last week?” message —though it is not clear how and when the understaffed workforce will be able to respond, their union tells CNN.

The country’s more than 10,000 air traffic controllers are already working mandatory six-day weeks of ten-hour shifts.

Just adds that they dont know what the fuck they're doing and causing chaos intentionally. There are levels to Federal Govt jobs. The actions are akin and amount to a national security threat. The fucking country runs on Fed Govt employees, State Govts (municipalities), contracts, businesses leaching off subsidies, etc... All madness.

Why in the fuck would they get rid of Park Rangers? I go to a park outside of Philly to hike and those rangers are cool as fuck. They work their asses off patroling that shit, making sure people aren't fucking up the park by trashing it and generally making people feel safe by their presence. This is fucking TRASH!
Right and park rangers barely start off at 30K.

Maybe in Missippii or Alabama you can live off that but imagine trying to live off that in a major city.

Most of those folks are doing it for the love of being a park ranger.

Hopefully they don’t touch Frederick Douglass home in SE DC. Talking about prime real estate, you can see the national mall from a horizon and that shit is dope during 4th of July

Anytime you see probationary or other nonsense, it is a workaround, the labor agreement, and Merit Protection Service Board. I posted a termination letter blaming performance. Let's say a black employee applies for a job with impeccable credentials, they can use this probationary. period to get rid of you and manufacture performance issues that will be well documented. Even though they spent eight months vetting you in their interview process.

Your only recourse is the civil rights commission that each agency has. That is sad that each agency has a Civil Rights Commission. An career employee can file a grievance under their labor agreement and go through the merit protection service board.

This nonsense, of course was started by a Democrat. You should have full protections on day one, not one year or two years from now.

I might start my own thread about this since many of you work in federal government and could use the mentorship that I can provide. @Dr. Truth is not a big fan of my work.

:lol::lol:

You are talking 1979, all these protected classes working for the federal government need all the protections they can get at day one. Look at what the USDA was doing to black farmers back in the day. President Carter was the Biden to the black community with crime bills back in the day.

The Democrats need to look at themselves, this is a perfect example of why black voters are distancing themselves from Democrats.

Hell naw... People look at the dems as a soft target. So they feel they can play around with them. It's like the person who acts crazy until a real crazy person enters the room. When they leave... they'll be talking again.

More like they don't care about what the fuck they are doing. They are intentionally trying take down the government and cause chaos. Both are to the rich folks benefit.

All the same. Don't know. Don't care. Don't all the above...

If this is the beginning of the end, what are our options?

Well a guess a start would be with the atleat three special elections (in Fl 2 seats) and in (NY 1 seat) taking place this year. We could have recalls of republican governors and other elected officals in states that have such mechanisms. The only other thing I can think of is an outright revolt against the people who refuse to do their job.

Good ideas. People have to pull up on politicians in power. Be consistent with the demands. The biggest fear is that people are reactionary, so all others not affected aren't going to move a muscle until they lose or can no longer access a benefit or two or three... this is sad. We really stand to lose the most, which is why we can't ever afford to stand down. I fucking hate it because the work-the hardest of work will forever fall on us.
