The power of intermittent fasting

What's your workout? I am trying to get to 190 my self ( i am about 210lbs)

On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays I work my upper body - arms, shoulders, chest. I don't lift heavy right now, I just do reps for exercise and muscle memory. I only move up in weight when the current weight I'm lifting becomes easier. Eventually I will lift more and harder for muscle mass. I am not trying to injure myself.

On Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays I work my legs - (squats(4 variations), calves, hip inducters, knee lifts). I Don't lift heavy here either, I am only squating around 400 lbs max. Same concept here on avoiding over doing it and injuring myself. As I get stronger I add a little more weight. I feel like a wimp only squating 400 lbs. when some chicks at the gym are squating over 700-800 lbs :eek2:LOL:D.

On Sundays which is very flexible if I go to the gym but I do cardio only. Bike, elliptical, power walk on treadmill, jump rope, and punching the bag for five 3 minute intervals. But like I said that is if I go on Sundays. I would love to jog but my knees are somewhat weak and I'm having a hard time finding jogging shoes that lessen the shock impact on the ball of my feet.

Mon-Sat I always do a combined 5 miles of some type of cardio and work on my core(abs and back) before I lift either my upper body or legs depending on what day it is.

I am just enjoying the process. I am in no hurry to get to my ideal body. I do it for health and I know eventually the body I want will develop as long as I stay consistent and gradually get stronger. It be days I don't want to go to the gym but I force myself to go and always feel better that I did go. However like I said Sundays are iffy for me.

One of the things I learned about is homemade Ginger tea. It works wonders if you need an appetite suppressant at any time during your fast.

I usually drink it warm, but on hot summer days like these I let it cool first.

It's a typo. I accidentally confused inclined leg presses with squats. Thanks for pointing that out:cool:. Yes there is a big difference between the two. Yet and still there were chicks incline pressing 800 lbs.+.

I took black seed oil for some months but that shit made me constantly have some crazy ass dreams
I use to take it years ago and never had that problem. Will I recently purchased it again and the first day I had one of the wildest dreams ever... Just did a search on the board and came across this post.

Fasting with a low carb diet =big time fat loss....add some weight lifting:itsawrap:

This! I've been doing this for months. I've been intermittent fasting for a few years now but combined with low carbs and my regular strength and conditioning routine and it got me looking like a super hero!

The key is to every once in awhile cycle off the low carb and do moderate carb loading. It's easier on joints and injuries, but everyone is different.

You got to find what works for you...

I got about 6 hours left in my 24 hour FAST, I did have a shake with spinach, oatmeal raw and a 2 bananas....

I'm getting my body ready to do this more often, I wanna drop about 20 ponds to reach about 183.

Ending my 2nd week.
Been going strong, down a little over 8lbs and counting.

I am 6'4" with a muscular build and hit the gym 6xs a week, I did not need to adjust workouts at all.
249.6 at the beginning of this at 241.2 as of this morning. Goal is to lose 20 lbs

I've tried intermittent fasting for about 2 months and it definitely works. Started eating a light breakfast, usually yogurt+fruits, taking vitamins B, C and multi while drinking around 60-100 oz of water. I've never been a binge eater besides the munchies after smoking but I also made sure that if I ate clean after 9 pm that it was clean, healthy food only. Two months of that with a little tweaking (and a cheat day) here and there dropped me from 215 to 170 lbs. Keep in mind thats with ZERO time spent working out.. I plan on training cardio all through 2019 so cutting that weight has really helped me. At 215 I couldn't run more than a couple of blocks before my shins felt like they were going to snap. This might not be the right thread to ask, but can anyone recommend a good pair of compression socks/running sneakers/running techniques/etc to help deal with shin splints?
