The power of intermittent fasting

hell im trying to gain about 30 more pounds.......no need for me to even be in this thread........bye!
My oldest gained damn near 15lbs of muscle this summer by adding a strawberry hulk from smoothie king before he slept. Plus he has been in the gym damn near daily.

I was pushing 250lbs I have never been that heavy in my life. Was nuts that I even got to that point, granted I always go to the gym 6 days a week. I just needed to get my eating back on track.

u sure about that? :puzzled:

I'm just now checking this thread out

Had a lot to deal with the last few months, pretty sure I've been depressed (family loss, other bs), and been a hermit, not working out, etc

I'm 6'4 and have gotten up to 288, which is some bullshit, even though I "wear it well" and no one believes I weigh that damn much

I usually work out regularly, and don't really have a problem sticking to anything once I get myself in the mode mentally. I read this whole thread and you guys results are REALLY motivational, especially @spider705 .

I'm starting tonight. Lets's see how this shit goes.

Thanks fellas.

Good shit fam...

I wanna start trying this tomorrow. I’m gonna make my last meal at 8 tonight and then start a 2-8pm eating window tomorrow. I read on here that chewing sugarless gum breaks your fast, is that true?

It doesn't have to be that drastic. I break fast around 11. I eat up until 7.

Right now I’m basically doing 12 and 12. I work in the evenings, I eat a meal (chicken/tuna, brown rice, vegetables) at 1:30pm, a snack (usually fruit) at 6pm, a salad at 8pm and then a snack at 10;30, I don’t eat anything again until 10:30 am after I workout

Cool. Keep pushing them veggies, drink a lot of water and climate sugar.

Yeah that’s all I drink 90% of the time, bottle soon as I wake up in the morning, at least a bottle while at the gym. I drink at least 4- 5 bottles of water a day.

Yeah, it has calories.

The goal is 0 calories.

Fell off on this at some point late last year (started in March 2018), but have been back on since the beginning of the year. Plus I'm doing raw vegan all this month and then vegetarian all February, all the while drinking nothing but water or lemon water. Weighed myself on Dec 31 and won't weigh myself again until March 1st to see how much of a difference there is.

I have to stay this thread has really helped me. At first I just went with the fasting from 9-6, which I'm thinking of pushing it back to 10-7 only because most times I don't get home until after 6 then I refuse to eat.

I'm doing Keto now and my biggest issue trying to find something for my sugar cravings. I'm even trying to write meals out to keep me on track but my biggest issue is the sweet craving and trying to figure out what to eat for breakfast when I'm in the office. Because I do not want a boiled egg. So I'm trying to get that part right. If I'm working from home then it's eggs and bacon easily but I'm struggling in that area.

Thanks guys for the motivation.

I'm on keto now and going through the same sugar cravings and the crazy thing is, I don't really care for sweets. Today I had some Diet Ginger Ale. 0 carbs, 0 calories. Little bit of an aspartame taste left behind, but it was satisfying.

I thought about Coke zero but I'm trying to only drink water and an occasional green tea.

I just looked up the peanut butter cups keto bombs recipe, but it calls for almond butter and almond butter taste weird to me

Erythritol is a good sugar substitute.

I use it to make sweet tea or lemonade sometimes when I need a break from water.

Swerve is Erythritol that's more suited for baking with.

Fat Bombs are good for a sweet tooth fix, which is basically heavy cream, coconut oil, a little cacao, vanilla extract, erythritol, and I use PB2 (a powdered peanut butter) or you can use a peanut butter made of just peanuts and salt, or another butter. Mix all that together, put it in the fridge, and then eat it with some pecans.

But there's all kinds of Keto desserts you can make.

I made a Keto birthday cake for my birthday and stayed in ketosis. Made a frosting and everything. First time I ever made a cake.

I also have sugar free Jell-o which helps with fruit and fruit snack cravings.

Yea not the biggest fan of almond butter either. I saw a cookies and cream keto bomb recipe. Seemed ok. I'm still in search of a viable substitute for coffee creamer but that search isn't turning up any tangible results.

And yea, it's been nothing but water as of late which is probably what brought that sugar craving on.

Shit is like dopamine. The brain could literally feel the withdrawals.

I'm going to try something tomorrow.

That's the beauty of Keto. There's a Keto-version of everything you could want to make.

And that's awesome because eating eggs and pork and vegetables with cheese and butter got played out real quick lol

A nigga made a Keto Pizza last weekend with almond flour and cheese crust, shit was clutch.

True about the withdrawals.

Have you tried the bulletproof coffee? I absolutely love it.

It's coffee, butter, coconut oil, vanilla, and stevia. Blend and it's like you have creamer. Don't even think about the butter. Lol
