Been doing IF/OMAD for like 4 months now.
Down 37 pounds. I'm 10 pounds from "normal" weight and ideally want to get down another 15 after I hit that goal.

I've been using Zero and LIFE apps. I suggest it to keep yourself in line. Even tho I don't watch hours, I don't crave food like that, where I'm at a point struggling thru the day.

There's times I went out with the fam and had breakfast or lunch and it hasn't messed up my weight by 2-3 pounds the next day.

So I don't kill myself, if I stayed diligent and ate only large salads for dinner I'd drop maybe 5-7 pounds a week.

If you can, try to do a 48 hour fast once a week. I was doing them weekly, but haven't done them in a month now. But good to put your body in autophagy, where your cells are repairing themselves.

I also suggest check reddit subgroups for motivation as well. Seeing people's B4 and after pics is motivation enough for me to avoid old habits

the best diet i ever did...im down now 20+ with another 10-15 to go....you are going to have a lil trial and error phase of course and if you
smoke weed lay off it for a few days and slowly get back so the munchkins wont hit you as hard as it use to and you can manipulate the high
how ever whice way you want to with out food being involved outside of your eating window....trust me folks you will be just fine..

Starving yourself works obviously. But is it the kind of thing you can keep up forever?
Starving yourself?
If you're interested, read up on it or research it.

Ask yourself what man did in caveman times? Was there a fridge, was there a stove? How often did he/she eat?

Or even over 100 years ago. How often did people eat?

People were much smaller in height and body sizes overall.

So the question is, is this starvation, or all along, have we been conditioned to overeat.

Let me add the disclaimer that yes today, all the food is processed, but still...

yeah i'm starting tomorrow. finished dinner tonight 8:45
i realized i eat nearly double what I normally do when smoking
on a regular week without weed, I do OMAD without even thinking about it and usually can lose 4-5 lbs in a week
trying to get down to 175, at 204 right now
finished the last of my weed yesterday.
Ready to go
Any advice on manipulating the high? Smoke right before your eating window?

that manipulation is all will power and a bottle of water...each cravings im taking a sip of water...im like odell from jackie brown i get high
at night when i get done with all my business :giggle: :giggle: ...so yesterday my eating window was only 5 hours from 11am to 4 pm then
i blew on around 9 just around the time i usually snack before i started fasting so my body is kinda use to feed during that time i smoke..
so im treating that bottle of water as my snack manipulating my high without food....i hope i kinda explained it rite.....

Starving yourself?..lmaoo you have to do Some research, February will make a year that I’ve been doing IF. You’ll go through periods of hunger during the day while waiting for your eating window but that’s it

IMO, counting calories is pointless. I just keep my meals light and listen to when my stomach is filling up and don't even beyond that point.

Went from 237 to 196.. I want to drop another 10lbs to be in my good weight zone.

same year, I went from 235 to my lowest of 193, I’m 6’2 so I never wanted to get below 200. I changed my 16/8 to a 12/12 and went back up to 204-205 recently, I said at the beginning of the year I was gonna start 16/8 again

You should only try to lose no more than 3.3 lbs in a week. Anymore and you run the risk of developing gallstones

After being on again, off again, then on again, I'm starting to see the results now in a major way.

I'm also starting to do some more creative workouts, getting into band resistance between sets (active resting), different types of workouts (types A, B and C), just experimenting... but staying true to my eating window and my IF schedule, which is usually 20:4 or 22:2

I cut loose a bit yesterday but I ate within my window and still managed to hit my gym and get a pretty intense back/biceps workout in.

I have a fat burner and a diuretic I took to kick things off... it was a good jumpstart to get back in the swing of things, get some low hanging fruit (shed excess water weight), and curb my appetite until I got the mental focus back to go those 20+ hours without eating AND still power through my workouts.

Only thing I may do now is get with a nutritionist to make sure my diet is in alignment with my IF way of eating and I'll be golden. I had a trainer free for a month and after 1 workout with him and him seeing me workout on my own here told me flat out I didn't need his services and left me alone...

Oh, and yoga... I want to get into yoga.

I’m the skinniest person in my family. On both my mom and dads side everyone is overweight. My younger brother for example is 290 and 6’2. I am 6’0 even and 190. I never understood why until I started reading about intermittent fasting. I have always skipped breakfast as a general life rule. I eat lunch at noonish and my last meal of the day at 6 usually. Been doing that since I was a teenager. I’ve only over 200lbs once in my life. I exercise regularly and very lightly. Been doing yoga for a couple of years mostly. The only time I break this habit is if I am going to be drinking and I might grab a drunk meal late at night. I don’t eat healthy. I just fast about 16 hours everyday.
