I started January 7. Exercise at least 4 days a week, clean eating except Saturday and Sunday. At least a gallon of water a day.

Good job, I’ve been doing IF since February 2019, I started at around 235 dropped down to 193 and am now currently at 204. Like you I workout 4 days a week, eat clean during the week and eat “not so clean” on the weekends. I’ve gotten used to it now so it’s not hard anymore, I eat my first meal at 1:30, second meal at 8pm and sometimes a snack at 1am (I work nights)

Start doing a 18/6 about a month ago, already down more than 10 pounds. I’ll have 2 hard boiled eggs and oatmeal for breakfast and then a regular dinner. I’m not working out at all. My sugar hasn’t started to come down yet. I got a glucose meter from my insurance company. I learned how much my morning coffee with cream and Splenda was jacking my sugar. Now I just use half and half with monk fruit .

I’m actually doing as well on this as I was doing on a medical supervised shake plan.

It definitely works.

Not sure of the science behind it, but One good side effect it forces you to recognize hunger. We’re so programmed to eat periodically, that most people eat before they actually get hungry. When you restrict the time you eat, you realize what hunger feels like.

I always heard people say to only eat when hungry. I thought I knew what they meant, but I didn’t. now I do.

Finally going to take this serious.

I'm going to start the 36hr fasting thing tomorrow. Fast on Mondays Wednesdays and Fridays and eat on the four remaining days. I already drink about a half gallon of water a day. I ordered some Keto Drops to help me curb my appetite so I won't cheat (>400 calories) on the days I plan to fast.

I'm 6'1, 268 with all my clothes on. Optimally I'd like to get back down to 199 but I'll settle for 220's. They say the first two weeks are the hardest. I got my water, tea and keto drops, now I'm ready to go to war, especially now since the gyms are closed.
Hope this works

Just completed a 34 day water fast on Wednesday. I was shooting for 40 but I started dry heaving on day 32 and when it happened consecutively for two days I figured it was my body telling me to stop. I've been fasting for years but life got away from me and between bad lifestyle choices and stress I hit 299 lbs (most I have ever weighed in my life) and with that weight came all of the health issues associated with it. I saw my doctor 2 months ago and everything was laid out for me. I said fuck that and went back to what has worked best for me in the past. I am now transitioning into IF. In my honest opinion this is the best way to eat and is truly sustainable and allows for body recomposition. I was never able to add any muscle when straight dieting. I'm going plant based until my next doctor's visit. I don't know how much I weigh now but I feel great and the clothes fit much better.

Bruh just up your water intake to a gallon and you wont need the drops

They its so effective because your body is not releasing insulin 24/7. Too much Insulin is a big cause of fat gain and other health problems

For some strange reason, that doesn't work on me. I started drinking a gallon of water back in August 2019 and I still be hungry as hell.
I applaud your choices brother, remember losing weight is all mental.

For someone to be 300 pounds, he/she has to eat a lot of food. In general, if you eat like someone who weighs 190 pounds, in a year or so, you’ll be 190 pounds.

We tend vastly to over-estimate the amount of food that people who are “thin” or “fit” eat.

You have to accept that the hunger you feel is exaggerated. Your body has more than enough fat stored away to eat at a large caloric defect for weeks, probably months.

The true key to weight loss is accepting that you eat an unnaturally large amount of food, and reducing the amount. It’s not so much of what you eat, or when, but how much you eat. Exercise, while helpful, will do far less for weight loss than good eating.

Once you accept this, you’ll be on the road to weight loss that is sustainable for a lifetime.

You probably just need to increase your fat intake when you do eat. Add an avocado or some guacamole to your meal.

One week in and I dropped 7 pounds before I yoyo'd 1.8 pound up, I don't expect that rate to keep up. I'm noticing with each day I fast I'm getting a little stronger. They say the first two weeks are the hardest and after that it feels normal. I didn't believe it at first but with one week in I can definitely see that happening. I think I can keep this up for a while.

I drop 10 in the first month doing basically 16/8. This week I started doing one meal a day, going about 23 hours between meals. I'm down 3. It's actually been easier than I thought. A couple of days, it hasn't even been a big meal, about one full chicken breast and some roasted veggies. I've been keeping track with a glucose meter and I got lower than I've been in years near the end of the fast.

With the glucose meter, I've been keeping track of how my morning coffee effects the fast. If I go with just heavy cream and monk fruit, the increase is very minimal.

Here has been my diet for the past 2 yrs I usually only eat once a day or twice a day if I worked out. The fasting should be done in moderation. If you do snack between meals, vegetables, fruit, and water will be your best friend. My main thing is being able to continue yoga & calisthenics workouts the older I get. I weigh 165-175.

Kombucha: Any kind with turmeric, ginger
1shot of Apple Cider Vinegar w/ MOTHER (don’t drink every day, 2 days a week is fine)
Snack between meals: Baby Carrots, Broccoli, Prunes, 1 Gallon Water
Meal: Kale Salad or Cooked Cabbage and whatever meat you like (grilled, fried, baked)

Diet seems light as fuck. How many calories are you getting per day?

Never looked into it. The list I gave is my base. II'll throw in pot of potatoes, black beans, or pinto pinto beans in there too. I'm pretty lean as my job requires it. High metabolism is a huge factor.

Bump. Checking in at 248 pounds. Still on it. Gonna cut way down on meat and see what type of results I get.
Just an observation:

Look into eating for your blood type. Chicken is my favorite and I’ve cut out the red meat for years now and for some reason I would never get rid of the bloat I get for eating “clean” meat. Well one day I took the advice from a nutritionist friend of mine and found out what foods are no bueno for B Pos (my blood type) and low and behold chicken was on the list:angry: Surprisingly I went back to eating steak and I do not feel the unhealthy bloat that I got when I consumed chicken on a daily basis. What confirmed it for me was there were things on that list that I knew I couldn’t and don’t eat that would fuck me up.
