when I fast it truly raises my frequency

and cconsciousness. Either water only

or fruit only for day(s) at a time. I'm so

much more focused and my tolerance

for any negativity or bullshit is ZERO,

And not because I'm hungry. Just the

mental clarity fasting provides, I wish

everyone would fast! I love it! It's also

a showing of self discipline and self love!

if you can control what/when/how you

eat or digest mentally, you can control

ANYTHING!

Back on it. Doing the 20-4, i ate horribly for the month of December. Gotta get back right for vacation season coming up
Man we had Thanksgiving and Xmas dinner hosted at our house. It wasn't the food that day. It was leftovers that killed me, plus I hate wasting food and my kids don't eat leftovers. Them days after... Was what threw me off...

I'm back to my 23:1 and did a 48hr this Monday. I'll be doing one 48hr every Sunday to Monday.

I was inspired by the video below so I broke out the air fryer and did a comparison of oven wings cooked at 425 20 minutes per side and the air fryer at 30 minutes tossed half way thru...

Shit came out delicious!

Oven wings on left, riced cauliflower and garlic butter mushrooms.

I really couldn't tell the difference between the two cooking methods.

Key to it all was what both videos below suggest... Baking powder!
Which has NO CARBS :eek2:

The perv in me really liked her video

Same here, after thanksgiving I was still eating my first meal at 2pm but I started having a late late night snack of chips and something sweet at like 1:30am. I did that all through November and December and said January 1st I was gonna stop but was still doing it. I‘m bucking down and gonna cut it off tomorrow, starting with a fast from 9pm tonight to 9pm tomorrow night

I've been doing IF for almost 8 months and I have noticed that I can no longer eat multiple meals throughout my 8hr window if I eat a meal I'm done for the day. I recently started a 36hr fast and it's not bad since it doesn't take much to fill me up I drink 2 bottles of water and feel like I ate a meal.

I'm actually down to my pre Thanksgiving weight today. Should break it by mid week. I just had a large Pho for dinner so not sure what my weight will be tomorrow but calorie-wise I know I'm under.

I've learned CICO is the truth. Calorie In - Calorie Out.

Eat less than your daily allowance. I try to keep it down to under or around 1k calories a day. At this rate I can drop like almost a pound a day, especially when I don't eat meat. Today had a vegetable Pho.

So you normally do 16:8?
Havent wanted to switch to a more longer fasting window? Majority of the week I'm 23:1. Only some days if on the weekend and we go out as a fam and maybe eating a lunch or something, but with that I may not even eat anything for the night, but if I do, it's small portions, something that would fit in a small bowl.

Yes, usually 16-8 but for the last 2 weeks I do 40-8 and in that span I usually get a snack and a meal anything more than that I'd have to force it down. My appetite changed during fasting I drink alot of water so I get fuller fast so the snack and a meal is truly all I need.

Still on the 6days of fasting. 5 days of varied workouts.
I just recently switched my workout... started doing German body Composition body training... shit is a pain in the ass but I've dropped like 14lbs since December so I'm good... I wanted to get to about 220lbs... got another 15 to go... might not make it though... recently got back with the ex and she hates skinny... so I'm thinking 225lbs is gonna be that sweet spot where we both happy

I dropped 16 since the first week of January. I need another 14 to 15 by the time I go in for my physical the middle of next month.

While doing an intermittent fast, (20/4 or 18/6) does it matter what you eat during you eating period? I've hear some people say they pig out during their eating hours.

Is anybody doing one large meal and then snaking over , say an 8 hour period? How is it working doing that?

I stick to CICO, meaning calorie in calorie out.
You can basically eat whatever but less than your basal metabolic rate, use this calculator:

Also if trying to lose weight you have to eat a lot less of calories daily than what's your recommended amount. My BMR should be 1800 calories and I generally eat about 1000 a day or so. You can eat sugar in there but best to avoid it as it's the hardest to burn off and makes your cravings for food worse.

Thanks for replying. I haven't tried IF but I am interested. The most success I've ever had losing weight was low carb. I didn't pay any attention to counting calories at all. I just made sure that kept the carbs low, shooting below 20 grams a day. I don't know if I went over my BMR but I ate a lot of fat. I wasn't doing fat bombs but I was having omelets and bacon for breakfast lunch and dinner. Steak with veggies cooked in butter. I ate a lot of green vegetables. Weight was just pouring off of me. Because of work, I couldn't keep up with the diet. Ever time I've tried low carb diet since then, I haven't been able to last, powerful cramping up that nothing would help with.

I'm wondering if I could eat a large breakfast with pancakes and then just snack for the next few hours until starting my fast.

I'm not one to count exact calories but I have an idea of where I am by the amounts that I eat.

And I don't do all those multi meals a day. Only thing that has been keeping me on track is one meal a day. Eating within a window of like 4-8 hours, wasn't effective for me. May work for others, but for all I've read for months from many on reddit, it works just takes so much longer.

I'm just trying to get to my goal and then I can stretch out other meals I suppose but at this point I don't get hungry thru the day and it's nothing for me to miss a day of eating all together. I'll do a 48hr fast once a week or so.

I couldn't do pancakes as you said, that would cork me up and stall me losing, definitely.

Still on it. I done dropped 22 pounds since January 7. 20-4, low carbs, low sugar. 5 days of working out(cardio, boxing, bodyweight exercises, jumping rope).

My bloodwork numbers should look great for my annual physical next month.

For me I say when you first start, say that first 3 weeks, you should try to eat healthy meals, vegetables, cut down on the sugar and fried foods, as a way to clean out your system After that time period you can eat whatever you want, BUT NOT HOW MUCH OF YOU WANT. i don’t think is what happens but to me it feels like after that 3rd week your body doesn’t have all that extra fat or whatever stored up so as soon as you start eating your body starts to use that food for energy.

Good looking out. I need to get some arginine and some beta sitosterol. Where is he located?

Thank you, good advice.

I think I may start 16/8 to see how I feel at first. But first I've got to get my hours consistent. I've got free time now so I'm getting up whenever I feel like.
